Porter and Antillon were selected by Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach to work with Manny Pacquiao, who is revving up for a Nov. 14 bout with Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Roach, who is camping out with Pacquiao in Baguio, said sparring could start as early as Tuesday afternoon. Were ready to go (sparring), said Antillon, who is of Mexican lineage. Porter and Antillon are scheduled to travel to Baguio by land on Monday morning. Theyll be joined in the five-to-six hour journey by Shawns dad Ken. Porter, the 2007 US National Golden Gloves middleweight champion, is said to be a clone of Cotto. The Porters and Antillon were fetched at the airport by movie bad guy Cris Aguilar, who, in reality is a nice fellow. Aguilar used to be one of Pacquiaos bodyguards. Just give my regards to Manny, said the hefty Aguilar. Bob Arums Top Rank Inc. is staging the Pacquiao-Cotto slugfest dubbed Firepower. Source: Nick Giongco, Manila Bulletin [/FONT]

Initially Roach wanted Pac to train in Mexico. I'm sure they could've gotten a lot of suitable sparmates out there. It certainly wouldn't hurt had they chosen Alfredo Angulo. That guy can certainly simulate Cotto's power and help Pac strain his body to get used being hit by hammers like Cotto has. Chavez Jr. can help Pac be aware of a left hook to the body.
i live in the same city as shawn, his dad used to train me as a kid. I have been trying to hype shawn names up on this forum for a while he is a toug kid he beat shawn estrada danny jacobsand many more up and comers in the amatuers i ve been watching him fight since he was 7 or 8. this guy is a real discpline fighter and cant wait to watch him fight for a world championship someday. Good Luck SHAWN
antillon aint **** he got knocked the **** out by a bum in his last fight and it was a vicious ko....
Antillon will probably get put out of sparring early by KO. He is strictly an in-fighter, and not a good simulation of Cotto.
