You don't mention that urine test that Pac wants to take doesn't include EPO which is why WADA doesn't approve it. And you yourself have defended that blood test are bad are detecting EPO and urine test are what is best.
Exactly there is a huge difference between what the scientists at the agency actually publish and what the money hungry bureaucrats who run the place say. The science says we can detect HGH through urine making blood tests unnecessary. But the bureaucrats dont want just urine tests so they send mixed messages to the media. The truth is they want both. Partly for the power trip that comes with trampling over innate human rights in a way that we will all see expanded well beyond sports in our lifetime. Look at urine testing, its pretty much standard practice today for everyone. But also for less insidious reason too they hold onto the sample. If a new drug is discovered that can only be detected through blood they have the old sample to go back and test. And lastly because they don't want to jump in and out of blood testing. Is there any scientific need to have blood testing now? No absolutely not. But in the future there might be so they want blood testing to be considered standard practice necessary at the present moment or not. As for the insidious part the government which funds this loves these invasive methods. Athletes stand on far more shaky legal ground than the general public so athletics is a good place to push the envelope. The athletes inevitably sue with far less chance to win in court than if a member of the general public were forced to under go such invasive testing, when the athlete most likely looses legal precedence is established and that precedence can now be further stretched out to the general public. Justice is blind and that is at times not a good thing.
I didn't know that the urine test that Pac proposed to take never included EPO. If you're reffering to the fact that at some point Pacquiao wanted the NSAC to do the testing, even though it isn't part of their regular testing policy they would have been allowed to test for EPO for that fight. Random urine testing isn't part of their policy either and they would have been permitted to do that as well.
I didn't know this, explain. I was under the impression that Pac doesn't care who nor how they test his urine he just doesn't want blood drawn close to the fight. Link?
Pac agreed to a blood/urine test right after the fight, which would be extremley accurate. Void did not want to fight Pac period.
At some point in the negotiations, Pacquiao said that he would take whatever tests the state athletic commission wants to implement.
Random urine testing or not. Who says they would add EPO to the list of what they would test/ Why wouldn't they go with their standard way of testing. Something you've also argued for. "Why isn't Floyd satisfied with the standard testing?"
Pac wants the NSAC to do the testing. While Pac has said he doesn't care who does it, he already lobbied for the NSAC to do that testing in the negotiations. And they, do not test for EPO in their urine test.
the random testing is already not part of their standard testing. The whole idea that they would go with their standard way of testing is nixed right from the beginning. All Mayweather would need to do is ask that the urine test include EPO as well, cased closed. What are they gonna say "No we don't want the urine test to include EPO detection?" you're reaching far. Its like you WANT Pacquiao to have a cloud of suspicion over his head, even though the evidence points the other way. Pacquiao asked for the NSAC to oversee the testing, he didn't insist that they only go with their standard testing guidelines. Don't mix one with the other.
True, one minor thing. Random urine test. All he would need to do, you're right. But did he? would he have of? We have no idea, what we do know is that Pac wanted the test that doesn't include EPO. Reaching? Please, you've constantly ignored the fact that Pac and camp agreed to blood testing up until the fight originally only to do a complete 180 on the thing.
that part in bold is a major fact spin. Pac initially wanted to do the same tests that everyone else is required to do. Wether its for EPO or not is not a factor in that. Eventually, Pac compromised for a more comprehensive test, beyond the NSAC standard, even though he didn't have to. I ignore what Pac's camp say because Pac's actions speak louder than the words of his camp. Half those guys give interviews about what Pac wants and doesn't want without even knowing what he wants. Its not even sure that Pac knew from the beggining that olympic style drug testing required random blood testing up to the day of the fight.
I dont really see the need for EPO testing in boxing. Boxing is an anaerobic sport. EPO wont help you much, you throw you gas even faster. EPO supports aerobic metabolism like cycling and actually has been shown to reduce anaerobic stamina by reducing serum glucose. Remember gassing in a boxing match means that your glucose levels have dropped too low. EPO speeds up this process a boxer should never take it. Now I know Mosely took it but he might just be an idiot.
Please do not twist anything as like they never agreed to not test for EPO from urine. All Pac said is for NSAC to oversee the testing and that they would agree to anything additional NSAC would require. If NSAC decided not to test for EPO, not Pac's fault. People always put statements here but can never back them up with proofs or links. Just fakking pathetic.
