Pacquiao was 143 the last time. Is going to 140 if floyd did not manned up. He eats normally and needs to taper in training with a full month to go. Why would be impossible for a 5'4" guy to make 135 when guys like corrales drains to make 130 to get their size advantage?

He eats to maintain muscle. He's not bulking up, he's cutting weight like everyone else. He normally weighs in the 150's. He eats a lot to avoid going too low, not to get higher. When in training camp boxers ear thousands of calories because they're burning thousands a day and they need the energy.

Nah I saw him a couple of times before when he's a bit younger. Around 5'4.5". 5'6" is generous.

By that logic, David Tua was 5'9 and should be able to make WW......

And we saw him face off against Mayweather who is 5'8".

Algieri is 5'10", to put that into perspective, that's what a 4 inch difference looks like. http://media.philstar.com/images/th...014/Manny-Pacquiao-Chris-Algieri-face-off.jpg

Does this look like 4 inches?

Pac is 5'6", weighs over 150 (156.3 training for Algieri) walk around. You guys just make him seem smaller to enhance his accomplishments.

are you really asking this question ? dude pac is in the mid 150's and he is 5'6.5". height doesn't determine what weight a fighter "should' be able to make. he's been fighting at ww for like 10 fights kid. he aint ever seeing anything close to 135 ever again.

maybe 5 years after he retires and is completely broke, he could lose all his muscle weight and be a sickly 130's . that is the only way, being sick and or starved 10 years down he road

If tua weighed 154 with no problem the last time out, why not?

Pac is not only small, he trains like there's no tomorrow and needs to eat more to avoid losing weight. He can easily make 140. If he eats a little less, like 99% of other boxers do to drain to a weight class, then 135 is achievable. Most 135 pounders right now would still be heavier than pac come fight night.

Have you seen him personally to know his actual height? Dude, I once stood beside him while playing billiards. He is around 5'4.5".

Canelo used to fight at 147, but was drained when he made 152 right? Dawson was drained when he made 168, right?

Pacquiao would be drained 135. I believe he can make 140 and be effective, but 135 is overkill. If he could make 135 so easily, why is everyone moving up to fight him? He's 36 and is lean already at 143-147, he's not a lightweight anymore.

    Did you measure him?

I'm 5'8", my girlfriend is 5'6", she often looks taller than me because she has a slim frame and I'm stocky. So unless you measured the guy, you're wrong. He's been listed at 5'5.5" or 5'6" for YEARS. Just accept it.

Didn't he fought at ww catchweight several times? The last one is with Algieri. That was for his WW belt and if pac's team thinks going below 143 is a problem, then he should have made Algieri go up to full 147.

At his age now, 143 is easy. 140 would be the same.
