According to Michael Koncz, "If Manny does well against Oscar, he’ll move forward. I foresee two or three more fights for Manny. I can’t see him dropping down to fight lower-level opponents. Manny is now in a class of his own"..

If he wins he needs to fight Hatton. Then maybe Gayweather will come back. Then both can retire.

because he's #1 at 140 and sells tickets. and a fight between pac and hatton would be a great all action fight.

a fight between those two would make millions.

He's climbing on the DLH/Mayweather/Calzaghe Express: same philosophy: only a few fights left, so they're All going to be blockbusters, to make the big, big $$. It's the mentality of great or formerly great fighters who feel they've earned some big, big paydays, regardless whether the fights matter at all to the sport. Can't blame them, but it doesn't add a whole lot to boxing.
Hatton: #1 at JWW, yet has fought none of the top five fighters? Dubious, at best.

I guess we will never see him fight Guzman, the man that he's been ducking for 4 weight classes.

Great, but he hasn't fought a real top JWW since Kosta. If he beats Malignaggi, then I will gladly say he deserves top ranking.
