It's really amazing considering that Pac took the fight without knowing that Dela Hoya would be foolish enough to drain himself and with the whole boxing world predicting that he was gonna get beaten worse than ever in his life. :hi:

Could someone do the same for Mayweather so we can chart his weight progress?

Everyone knows DLH lost the fight even before they enter the ring. Freddie has admitted he seen DLH bleeding from his arms which shown he had to rehydrate with ivys. Thats when he told Manny to attack before even the bell rang. This has been Manny's best secret, he is a natural at this WW and most of his opponents have mistaken him for being the smaller guy. DLH and Cotto both did the mistake by agreeing to a weight that would have proven to be more difficult for them at their stage of career and then not properly rehydrating for fight night because of weight issues.

No one knew that DLH was going to be weight-drained prior to the fight. In 24/7, he claimed again and again that he was in the best shape of his life. This was corroborated by Nacho, his nutritionist, his brother. DLH was eating kangaroo meat, using acupuncture and hiring the best help that money could buy.

After the fight, Nacho and DLH's nutritionist admitted that weight was not an issue for DLH's loss. Even DLH did not use the weight-drained excuse until weeks later, when the alibi gained a lot of traction among DLH apologists.

At the end of the day, you fight and try to beat the opponent that you have in front of you. And that's really been Pac's secret.

We have guys esp like Cotto that will never make excuses even when its the truth. It's a known fact DLH needed ivys to rehydrate, how is that not enough evidence the guy was having weight problems. Fighters are told not to be sore losers esp. after the fight. Most honest comments from fighters come after a few weeks later after the fight where they have time to understand and feel open to talk about it in public how they really felt.

Pac's been so succesful in the WW division because of his team involvement esp. when it comes to negotiating... Thats when you really start the fight just ask Hopkins who has even said from the first day they announce the fight thats when the fighting really begins...
