Hatton walked into the check hook. Martinez threw a shorter punch and beat williams to the punch leaning to the left so Williams couldn't see it.

The fact that Williams fell face first, with his arm under him, eyes wide open, staring straight into the mat. It looked like a helpless man trapped inside an immobile body.

I would say Pac's KO was more brutal but Martinez's was more significant given that Williams has a really good chin and that it was perceived as a closer fight.

Still it seems it's easy to make light of the Hatton KO in hindsight because of what Pac has achieved since then, but during the time I think we were all just as shocked at the KO.

    I would say equal.

By far it's Sergio's KO simply because it was a harder feat. Pac had already knocked down Hatton and you knew Ricky was going to taste the canvas again at some point. Besides, Hatton had already been KO'd by Floyd before the fight with Pac happened. Paul was never close to being knocked out and was known to have a great chin. Sergio's KO just straight shot out of nowhere. It was the kind of KO that made you shoot beer out from your nostrils and yell, "WTF did I just see?"

Your dumbass must not have seen the first Martinez/Williams fight.. the way Williams got knocked down in the first round you could see this coming a mile away. Since Martinez had more than just 2 weeks to prepare this time anyone with any sort of intellect could see that it ws a possibility.. doesnt stop if from making it anyless brutal though

They're better at different areas. PWill has a chin, and they're at a higher weight. However, Hatton was laid out a looooooooooooong time; Williams was saying he was OK and even turned himself around on his own power. Both Pac and Martinez were hitting hard shots, and both finally got the sweet spot with the sweet timing down.

To fully and completely appreciate Pac's punch, watch it from the bird's eye view starting at 42 seconds...

You can actually ****ing see the momentum gathering. Storm clouds before the apocalypse. The moment before the impact is breathtaking.

One of, if not the greatest single punch ever thrown.

    :deal

  13. To argue one over the other is understandable.

To say it's not even close means you're clinically ******ed.

    :patsch

I don't know, Williams has a really good chin for someone so tall and lanky, is in his prime and was starched by a SINGLE punch. Hatton's best days were behind him, and had been dropped and almost out before it happend. Martinez, came out of nowhere.

But then again, you'd suck dick for money. So...
