Yeah and Pacquiao landed a lucky punch against Hatton. Pacquiao should hang out with Donaire and they can see who can come up with the most lame excuses.

Well it is true it was kind of lucky, more right timing perhaps. Doesn't make the knockout less impressive.

Bailed him out of possibly getting into trouble in the 7th with his nose, came out of nowhere with just a second left in the round.

Granted right timing is perhaps a better word for the punch, but as I said, the whole "right timing/lucky/etc" factor doesn't make the knockout any less impressive as people will try to paint it.

I think what Pacquiao meant was it was TWO lucky punches! The punch that stop Pacquiao was a punch that Marquez landed several times. Pacquiao's denial reminds me of when Michael Moorer was KO'd by Goerge Foreman, Teddy Atlas constantly told. Moorer George was looking to set him up, but Moorer did not listen, and he continually stood in front of Foreman and got put to sleep. Now when Moorer is asked about the KO, he becomes incredibly irritated and says it was a lucky punch, eventhough Atlas warned him it was coming.

Instead of Pacquiao learning from his mistake, he chooses to chalk it up to luck, so if your listening Brandon, right hook!

JMM has been hitting and hurting Pac with that right hand over 8 years through 4 fights.

Eventually one of the was going to get him out of there.

    Lucky?

    HMMM

Counter puncher, I would assume a counter puncher thrives off of his opponets mistake by watching & TIMING his shots. I just fail to understand how a counter puncher who landed a perfectly timed shot is "lucky". Pac made a mistake & let his gaurd down. JMM capitalized off of it. Thats all there is to it. Boxers get knocked down all the time & punches that put them down happen in a split second. So the fact that it happend in the last second or if it would of happend in the middle of the round does not make it "lucky". As long as its within round time then its fair game. Like I said, boxers go down all the time from single shots, diffrence is JMM landed a shot that KO pac, he threw it hard enough & timed him perfect. Pac was doing good but could never finish JMM.

You might have a point if Pac scored the KO over Hatton only after getting throughly dominated. The difference is Pac scored the ddevastating KO after punishing Ricky......Juan scored the devastating KO on Pac only after taking major punishment.

For the record I dont think the KO was lucky....Pac made a mistake and Juan capitalized on it. It's part of the game.

I hope Rios lands one "lucky" punch and finally put a end to Pacquiao.

Yeah, you're right... He was really dominating Ricky for that whole first round.
