Just because you both feel the same way doesn't mean it was lucky.

How lucky was it? He countered him perfectly. I mean, if JMM closed his eyes and swung wildly, then we can call it lucky.

I understand a bit of sports psychology so I don't blame Pac at all. It's normal. You just can't believe it. Especially when you weren't dominated.

You don't want to believe that the other guy really got your number...that he really got your timing....and after almost 50 rounds finally landed the shot he's been working to land for years. Yeah, totally lucky Pac. Hahah. I mean, the evidence is there. It wasn't a lucky punch. But I understand why Pac would feel that way.

Unfortunately *******s are gonna cling to this as their gospel truth.

People should ask themselves who was more likely to win before the punch landed.
How much was Pac in live betting in that rd ?
I would venture to say clearly in the minus figures.
It was clear Pac was coming in strong and was about to stop Marquez himself.

Whether the punch was lucky or not doesn't matter after the fact. Pac should have said he made a mistake.

Well, everything was fair and square. Pacquiao cannot complain, he was KOed and that was it. However, Marquez should give him the rematch as he was losing the fight before the KO happened. Well, it's still 2-1 to Pac after all (fair or unfair). Pac would still have better chance of winning the fight if he and JJM meat again.

ESB gets soooo mad about anything pac says or does... You would think he was the biggest **** talker on the planet or something. Guy just smiles and says lets fight. Of course he is going to justify his loss. What fighter not hanging them up wouldn't.

I just watched the gif from different angles in slow motion like 100 times to give you the benefit of the doubt. That "trip" did not PROPEL Pac anywhere. Pac was already moving forward. He woulda got KTFO regardless.

To pac's credit, he has also said in his other interviews and the after fight interview that he got too confident, went in for the kill and just got caught (made a mistake). I swear, Haters are gonna hate!!!

I've watched the replay as well from several angles. There was definitely entanglement of feet.

True, Pac was moving forward prior to that, but the feet coming together added to the forward movement.

A perfectly reasonable POV, even if not unanimously agreed, NBA.

I would have to see his next fight before I would offer an opinion.

Who are you people to contradict Pac's assessment of the KO? He was inside the ring. He know its a lucky punch.

For me its a lucky punch, look at how marquez was surprise after his punch, I knew that he practice this kind of punch but its like he never expected this kind of KO. He wasn't really beating and dominating pac the whole fight, he's just lucky that pac commit mistake on that fight. He's also lucky because out of their 4 fights he only did this once. I would really be convinced if he dominated pac the whole fight and he ended it in a KO then this is surely not luck. I think he should give pac a rematch to erase some doubts.

I'll keep saying this argument holds no water.

Marquez took the play away from Pacquiao and was the one generaling the ring and scoring with clean hard shots the 2nd half of round 6 right up to when the knockdown occured.

Pacuiao was not going for the "KILL" as many keep insisting at the time Marquez short circuited him.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9-meKMswgk

The move Pacquiao made that Marquez countered masterfully is a move Pacquiao repeatedly makes during any of his fights. He loves to guage with a double right jab and then unleach his left.

The fact that Marquez saw it from mile away and executed his own right hand with precision timing has more to do with the previous 41 rounds they had fought.
Just by the way Pacquiao sets up to throw that combination, Marquez allready knew what was coming from Paccquiao before Pacquiao even attempted his first little guaging right.

    Timing, power, explosion.
The execution of Marquez' right hand was dead perfect, and with Pacquiao lunging to reach Marquez as he often does as Marquez pulls away from the jabs, the explosion from the connect was exponentially more powerful.

I'll repeat, Pacquiao was not gunning for the kill, he just simply got killed by a great that was fighting Pacquiao's own game.

    EXPLOSION!!!!:deal
