you might be right on this one, i forgot to see his actual weight but news reports was that he was 17 pound over pac who came in at 148. so 165 is correct.

whereas if pac will fight sergio at 154 as these bozos are suggesting. SM will come in at 170 and pac at 148.

    nice. 22 pound difference. :patsch

sigh. the money makes it so attractive to managers and promoters. Sergio was all class saying that Pac is too brave for his own good. Even if pac wins, he'll absorb more damage than what he got from cotto and marg.

Sergio can clean up the division and make his own name. He's marketable. fighting pac will only be a shortcut to fame that he can do on his own (albeit longer).

Pac on the other hand has his pick at 140-147. Hell, I'd be happier if he fought Amir Khan to see how he does against tall speed boxers. (but yeah, its too friendly)

I am a pac fan but recently it has gotten me pissed that his last 6 fights where cherry picked for him so pac can look good and dominate then sold to the masses as PAC dominating bigger fighters... they didn't metion the fighter were all coming off loses and were dimished with good names.

I just want pac to face a champion someone coming off of wins... that there previous fight they did well. I',m a boxing fan I just want competitve fights.

    Mayweather
JMM if he domintaes KATS if not then okay don't do it but roach then would probably want it more.
BERTO- Undefeated young lion, more appealing then a mosely but less money..
Brad-Alex Again another young lion whoever wins... Less money but more competitive.
Martinez... Just came off 2 great wins and has reigned in the 154 division for a long time.. where manny is champion.

But see ARUM don't think about competitiveness He thinks about $$$$ whats the biggest name we can get and the easiest opponent so they don't beat my money maker...

Mayweather WILL likely not happen early 2011 so we move down the list.
    MOSELY.....:deal
    Then JMM
    Then Berto-Martinez
    Then the rest.

Pac doesn't need any part of martinez. Pac is the cash cow. If martinez wants to have a big payday, he should earn it! drain himself to 150 or **** himself:deal

Effin horse****.. Sack up Pacman, 154 or bust for you're belt.

Didn't Martinez have to drop his belt from 154 after his fight with Pavlik?

Yeah Martinez left to fight at 160 against pav for a title, and they stripped him of his 154 title..... there were no fights at 154 so sergio had no other choice.

I think Martinez for MILLIONS might take that 150 catchweight...

Millions to lose 4 pounds I think he is gonna think hard about that one..:bbb

PAC SHOULD HAVE NEVER SAID he would do it at 150.. he may have to eat his words. LOL

Pac got two or three fights left with him so every fight needs to sell out big time.

BERTO undefeated young lion? Who's gonna pay and watch BERTO get slaughtered in the ring? Arum needs no charity case

Winner of Brad v. Devon would be good though

dude, cotto cherry picked? the guy busted pacs eardrum and by pacs account is the hardes puncher he has ever met.

margo, for his limits almost cracked pacs ribs.

clottey was a safety first fight. it is easy to say this and that, but would you rather that pac fight guzman, bradley, campbell, berto, humberto sotto and juan diaz rather than cotto, clottey, margo, hatton, dlh and diaz?

    seriously?

Margarito is one thing... but Martinez is not only bigger than Margarito, but better in pretty much every way..

How can you expect Pac to fight him at 154? They originally wanted Margarito at 147, considering Pacquiao isn't even a real welterweight. But Margarito couldn't so they had to increase the weight, they went to 150 and make it for a belt, even though its kinda a BS belt, Pacquiao still isn't a SMW, he isn't even a Welter.

Martinez is not a realistic opponent, Berto or winner of Alexander/Bradly is the route he needs to go... If Mayweather won't fight him, which seems likely.
