he can do both (politics & boxing).

we already seen how he does a lot of other things at the same time even when training for a fight. the guy likes working non-stop 12 hrs. a day.

Listen to all the bitches. Pac couldn't even make 150 for Tony so of course he'll ask for a catchweight I mean ****ing hell whatever it is he'll probably be giving up a shitload of weight on fight night. It's upto Martinez to say no, you can't blame Pacs people for asking!!

For the record, I'm not particularly pushing for a third Marquez-Pacquiao fight......but the Pacquiao team regularly bring Marquez' name into the picture.....something about wanting to shut up a nearly 40 year old man up.

I do find it funny that Roach is'nt confident that they could do it in a scenario that would be best for both fighters, 140 lbs!:deal:lol::lol::lol::lol:

a 150-lb catchweight serves to equalize things when you consider that matinez outsizes pac by 20+ lbs during fights. catchweights are there so that the best possible fights can happen involving the best boxers even when they're separated by 3-4 weight classes in terms of their actual fighting or weigh-in weights.

also, it really up to martinez to chase the fight if he wants to. he can always say no and that will be the end of it.

why are ppl here putting the burden of this fight happening on the much smaller guy? after 5 consecutive fights fighting guys much bigger than him, pac deserves a break and for a change, finally fight somebody his own size.

yeah. but sergio outsizes pac by 20+ lbs. during fightnight even if both technically can fight as a jmw.

the truth is pac isn't even a legit welter while martinez fights at the supermiddle limit. that's 3-4 weight classes right there.

Heavy? Its only 10 lbs difference between what Martinez weighed 10 years ago and now......

Pacquiao 10 years ago was fighting at 122 lbs, he weighed in at 145 lbs for Margarito, a 22 lbs difference.

Pacquiao's weight gain is even more astonishing when you consider that he's gained an additional 18% of his body weight from 10 years ago, actually just 7 years ago, Pacquiao was fighting as a 122 lbs as near as 7 years ago......

What Martinez has put on is just 6.5% of his body weight of 10 years ago.

THat title's only purpose was to sell the fight to casual fans. Historians should put an asterisk on it.

Sergio already has trouble making 158.
We can't go feeding pound-for-pound fighters to each other if they're not in the same weightclass. It's nerdy, like a list of famous boxers that some editors put together.
