We do this in taekwondo conditioning as well, hill sprints over and over again. very good for building explosiveness and anaerobic endurance. I always say you can almost judge who the better fighter is by the definition of the calf muscle. It determines footwork, speed, kicking endurance, and experience. Olympic level tkd fighters have crazy tight calves.
having big calves has not a damn thing to do with anything really but good genetics you are either are born with them or you are not.....dont believe any other bull**** you hear out there believe me.
Very true....calves are one of the hardest muscles to grow because the muscle in general is ment to do a lot of work.
