Considering Manny has already been compared with Armstrong, Duran, Wilde and Santa Claus.. Whats a next bet for Manny??? His power is endless. His adaptability is unique... very, very unique when considering the ratio of weight growth. Has he another division.. or two awaiting him??
I hope the thread in the General Forum which stated that Arum and Roach think fighting Floyd would make for a boring fight is a joke. Pacman isnt scared of PBF but i think the handlers are thinking twice about putting him in with the Pretty Boy. Pac could try and beat up Cotto, that would make for a fantastic fight.
Will have to take a peek at the post Teke. Its more BS hype no doubt. I just wonder if Pac will move a div or 2... just to create a bigger line of credit for himself, or defend a few times at current weight.. ??
Yep a cotto fight would be great. Mayweather wont sit in front of Pac and get hit like Hatton. Maybe Pac can feast on the carcass of JMM after Money has demolished him :rofl
Pac and Cotto are both with Arum. I doubt he makes that fight. The fight that everyone wants and makes the most dollars is obviously Pac v Floyd. Pac may well beat Cotto but their is no guarantee and he may take a beating. I can't see Arum risking his two cash cows against each other.
Cotto v Margarito didn't risk a super mega fight from happening. I think Arum is just using Cotto as a vehicle to get Pac the lions share of a purse with Floyd. Besides, Cotto has to get past Clottey first. That's not a guaranteed win. Does Arum really want to put Pac in with a hard punching welter? Pac hasn't beat an active 147 fighter yet. Cotto would be a huge risk and it's a fight where, even in winning he may take a beating.
Cotto vs PBF would have been pretty big.. And I dare say that would have been Arum's plan had he got past Marg. I think Team Pac work a good plan. They seem to want to take guys out of their comfort zone (ie. weight) to make fights happen now (obviously this gameplan worked a treat against DLH). If Cotto vs Pac happened at a catchweight (which seems like the likely option should this fight ever eventuate), say 143, Pac would have a great chance, as I think Cotto below 147 would be disasterous.
Mayweather next up if he gets past Marquez. A year or 2 ago I would have said it was absurd but Pacquiao has the ability to beat PBF, if not give him a very tough time of it.
