To be fair, there are different grades to rotator cuff tears- Grades I-IV. If it was a low level tear, he should still be able to have almost a complete range of motion with it. An example of an extreme rotator cuff injury is when Berto fought Soto-Karass. In the second round of that fight, Berto swung for the fences and missed so badly, he ended up falling on the canvas and severely damaging his shoulder.. He was holding that arm down by his side (I think it was his right arm?) for the rest of the fight and was pretty much a one handed fighter for the duration of that match. Anyway when it comes to Manny's shoulder, he didn't look any different from the Mayweather to Bradley III to Vargas fights. That's why I have zero interest in seeing a rematch between May and Pac- FLoyd has already seen his style and I think he'd pick him apart with relative ease in a second go around.
you are 100% right about there simply being levels to an injury and considering how hard pac and all other elite level fighters train OF COURSE they will have niggling injuries that they carry with them for years and never fully heal, such as mayweathers notoriously brittle hands. i just refuse to acknowledge the shoulder as an excuse for pacs loss
Mexicutioner is back!!! I tell you what this looks like. it looks like wannabe but hurt maxican haters got nothing better to talk about. That's what it looks like. His jab and right hooks looked devastating since the op. That's not something that can be recorded on a paper.
so regardless of the facts provided you are saying pacs shoulder injury very likely caused the loss to floyd? Is your post suggesting pac with an injured shoulder was able to throw the same ammount of punches as a healthy pac but power and or technique was difference? As for being butthurt? what possible reason would i have to be?
Look at your username. Pac dominated your favorite boxer and you've been deeply butthurt ever since. Pac mexecutioned many of your other favorite mexican fighters.
ok lets just assume your right and im a hater THE BIGGEST PAC HATER on the planet actually.. do the numbers not suggest he was full of **** about his shoulder?
It's being reported that Vargas has a shoulder injury that will require surgery. Pac can't beat a two armed Vargas, Fact!
Are you missing the fact that Mayweather claimed he knew about the injury because he had a spy in the opponents camp?
Does it matter? Manny fought like a Super Saiyan vs Rios and Chris. What was wrong with his shoulder then? Nothing!!! That shoulder excuse was a bandaid for his lack of effort in fighting Mayweather. His ego was hurt and he knew his fans would **** on him. Manny is a sore loser, especially to the guy he was suppose to destroy. He couldn't even draw blood from Floyd, which makes Maidana look like Hitman Hearns for knocking his tooth out. first he thought he won the fight This content is protected and then he loss it because of his shoulder, but he lifted that shoulder several times before the fight, during the fight and after the fight. Does anyone believe their eyes anymore? This content is protected Team Pacquiao would have said anything to keep from being embarrassed.
I guess i am one of the weird people who are big mayweather and big pac fans, same as i am a big kovalev and ward fan, but i call bull**** of the shoulder injury, pacs entire demeanor post fight with may was sus, never mentioned the shoulder to his corner at any point during the fight i mean come on? also never mentioned it in post fight interview inside the ring, only in the presser when he had time to make up an excuse to save his perceived embarrassment to his country.
Pac had an injured shoulder in the May fight. People who dispute that are delusional. But Pac is very past prime at this point and slowing down considerably. His output used to be at least double what it's been in the last two fights. I think with his injuries and age, plus the Marquez knockout, he's been focusing more on defense than offense. You can see the style change just like when Ali got older. He stopped skipping around the ring and started rope-a-doping. Most fighters who last a long time at the top have to change their style, especially if their original style was based on their freakish athleticism.
There's no debate about his shoulder injury. There's some debate as to how much it hindered him though.
