at the lighter weights, pac was obliterating his opponents mostly with the left, and by overpowering them. pac usually got hit a lot in the process. at the higher weights, he was virtually outscoring his opponents. he hardly lost a round at 135 and up.

Dectractors claim he fought shot over the hill fighter at higher weight hence the illusion of a new improved Pacman.

here is the argument and i am not a pac hater but look, odh a 154 fighter fought at 147 cotto a 147 fighter fought 145 hatton a 140 fighter fought 147 margo 154 fighter (at the time they fought and for the 154 title) fought at 150. im not sayin he would have lost any of those fights, but if it didnt matter why make them fight at that weight all they did was give people a reason to doubt otherwise he could be put in the atg list now he has to beat mayweather and vice versa. u cant be onthe atg unless uyou are the best in your era neither can say that til they get it on anybody that rates one over the other is just speculating, but you cant give him full credt on them fights unless you give floyd full credit on jmm or chico when he weighed 17lbs less when they stepped in . me myself i give pac credit on the hatton fight cause hatton looked so good in the mallinagi fight give floyd credit on chico and mosley but that is where it ends.

When you're on top everyone is trying to bring you down.

    1. ODLH vs. Pacman - ODLH cherry picking wen't horribly wrong. Not Pacman's fault.

    2. Pacman vs. Cotto - Cotto's last weight-in was at 146lbs. 1lb is not significant.

    3. Floyd vs JMM - A joke tune up. Floyd even cheated 2lbs against a midget.

    4. Floyd vs Mosley - The same with Pacman vs Mosley. Doesn't merit any credit at all.

odh cherry pickd a fight at a weight he hadnt fought at in 7yrs? floyd fought him at 154 with his ring size and gloves why couldnt pac, cotto i agree with but if it didnt matter why make him do it and if jmm was a joke he only weighed a couple more lbs than he did against pac when he walked in the ring the 2nd fight and mosley was the ring mag champ when floyd fought him he had to fight somebody and what bout the margo fight?

    1. ODLH's fault, can't spin any other way around.
    2. A 144lbs JMM is still 2 clicks north and a joke tune-up.
    3. Mosley was an old grandpa then and still the old grandpa now.
    4. Margo? Big, heavy, long reach. Have you seen the body shot that almost buckled Pacman? That's how big and heavy he is.

Pacquiaos major advantage is hes speed and power, vs bigger the opponents the slower they are, and plus Bob Arum is on Manny's side, so its definite victory.

I was wondering about that recently if speed > power, why dont welters who are really fast move up to a higher division, not just middle but even higher then that. With their speed they should eb able to win rounds, just need to be carefull that you dont get caught with a big punch otherwise its lights out.
But basically you got nothing to lose, if you lose your a gutsy guy with heart that was reaching and nobody will hold it against you. If you win youre a god.
