8 for attack (slacked in the later rounds showing merci to cheato)
6 for defence (got hit too often and was hurt several times)

 

8. He showed mercy in the ring which is noble but a fault in a fighter, he abandoned his body attack, and he got hit quite a bit. But it was still a great fight on his part.

 

9 Nobody can go 12 rounds with Margarito without getting hit....But he could have worked the body a lot more.

Pac's performance?

9 -- no question. Awesomely quick. His foot-speed is the best I've ever seen.

Value of the performance?

6 -- He beat someone he was widely expected to beat. Marg was at 5/1 before the fight even started. To put that in context, Audley was at 7/1. It doesn't add anything to his legacy, but doesn't hurt it either. The Cotto fight was more impressive for me.
