Spin it all you want. Pacquiao is taking the path of least resistance. Period. All the pictures and patting each other on the back won't change a damned thing. Diaz is a paper title holder who barely beat someone Pacquiao destroyed. It's pathetic.

    I did. :deal

But Pac has more leverage here, so its even worse. He can pick ANYONE, and he picked a weak fighter who barely won his last fight.

No doubt it is time for PAC to fight a prime young bull.

Pac picked a guy who won a controversial fight against a shot fighter who he had destroyed.

Pac needs to fight JMM if he's looking for a big pay day.
Pac needs to fight J. Diaz if he wants to make history.
Pac needs to fight JMM if he wants to redeem himself.
Pac needs to fight JMM to prove he is the best.

Calm down Johnny....you know what you just said was Bull****. It's ok to admit that Pacquiao is basically fighting for only money now. JMM has no reason to go to Pacquiao at 135, and you know it. But it's not about JMM now is it? If Pacquiao really wanted to take on good fighters, he would be after the other Diaz, not the weak one he knows he can beat. :thumbsup

i really wanted him to fight jmm. just to find out once and for all who the better man is. i'm afraid pac will face jmm when jmm is too old. anybody knows how much pac is being paid for this one? if it's close to what he would have gotten against jmm then i officially have no more respect for the guy. i know moeny's important and all but sometimes, you just have to give the people the fight that they want to see and nobody wants to see a diaz-pac fight except maybe eric morales.

Yep, and if Pacquaio wins people will be even more convinced he deserves top spot in the world. What a joke, the guy can beat up a faded Morales repeatedly, fight Barerra whom he already knocked out (years ago), and people go crazy about it.

well, taking on d. diaz may be the path of least resistance. but if pac will make the same amount of money fighting jmm and diaz, then might as well take on the perceived "weaker" of the two.

but d. diaz is a young, prime and big 135-lber who is known for his very rough and dirty fighting by using his elbows, forearms and chin. pac has been known to have a hard time vs. rough and dirty fighters so this is not exactly a cake-walk for him either especially for his first fight @135.

David Diaz just barely got by Morales, who was shot to hell and lost to Pacquiao by KO 2 times in a row. Nothing anyone says will change the perception of non- Pachuggers. This is a weak fight....and they can no longer say he fights the best.

for this fight, we can agree that pac is not taking on the best. but it's still a challenge for him to move up in weight and take on a bigger opponent. but a pac-j. diaz match is certainly a very big possibility after this fight.
