I remember people saying Manny was slowing down after the MAB rematch. Then he rematched JMM which compounded the notion. Going into the Diaz fight, the commentators noted that maybe Pac was showing signs of wear. Manny then proceeded to butcher Diaz. So was he really slowing down? Or was it the style in which MAB and JMM fought with? Soon afterwards he moved to welter mowing people down, seemingly throwing 100 punches per round and prompting PEDs accusations by the Mayweathers. Of course there was a more rational explanation. Upon closer inspection, generally speaking none of these bigger guys "boxed"...Understandable, Pac looked like a blown up lightweight so it's easy to believe he could be walked down and overwhelmed. Thus we had alot of these toe-to-toe exchanges leading to a not-so-surprising revelation. It's no secret anymore, as it was in the beginning....no one within 15-20 pounds can "outfight" Manny. Now we had his past two fights were once again he looked human. But is he really slowing down? Granted he is in his thirties so you'd expect a bit of physical decline but my point is...you can't really gauge that from the past two fights. He did almost kill Margarito not so long ago. Unless you go to war, you're not gonna see the 100punch/round version...you have to "box" Manny to have a chance to beat him. But put him in there with a Brandon Rios or any overly machismo-ed opponent and no doubt you'll see the ol' beast-mode version. In fact I kinda miss watching those fan-friendly Manny massacres and if the Mayweather fight can't be made now, I wouldn't mind seeing Manny put a Hatton-style beatdown on a Brandon Rios or a Lamont Peterson in the meanwhile.
its a win-win. if he wins, he beat the #3 p4p, if he gets raped by sergio, he has been raped by one of the sexiest boxers to ever live. I would be doing backflips to get this fight signed!
That is unbelievably rich coming from yourself. The person who's sole analysis of Pacquiao beating Mayweather being, 'Mayweather struggles with southpaws, and Pacquiao is a southpaw'. :dead
This guy Gander Tasco is worse than Arum. With every statement, post and thread....he completely contradicts himself, EVERYTIME!!!!
I have no problem with someone who can bring up some very good points on how Pacquiao can beat Mayweather, including bringing up his stance. But when the main factor in Manny picking up the victory is that Pacquiao is a southpaw, it's very naive IMO. Gander seems to come back to this all the time, and never really seems to go further than, 'Pacquiao is a southpaw' when questioned about it.
I've actually came up with that theory myself more even before the marquez fight. Styles make fights and that's why I wanted Bradley instead of Margarito. Most of the other stuff you posted though was crap
Skilled fighters with an educated right hand will always give Pacquiao fits. Pacquiao had to drain a faded Morales, and it still took him 21 rounds to decisively beat him.
