In light of the recent Pacmania that is going on here, I will post what I think are his 5 greatest wins.

    1. Marco Antonio Barrera- An underdog and an unknown beat MAB which thrust him into the limelight.

    2. Oscar De la Hoya- Was an underdog but was already known. Was disadvantaged in every way except for speed.

    3. JMM- His 2nd JMM fight showed that when things are not going his way, he was able to adjust (going back to his old reckless ways actually but still worked)

    4. Lehonolo Ledwaba- The victory introduced Pac to the Filipino people.

    5. David Diaz- Moving up to Lightweight in order claim a title in his 4th weight division. And he did it in a dominating fashion.

i think the sasakul victory was more important than the diaz resume-wise. and morales two was more significant than the ledwaba.

Morales II, IMO, did not impress me as such because even though Pac lost the first fight, it was close and heading into the 2nd Pac was still favored.

Not so much that he won but HOW he won. Prior to this, the notion of Morales losing by stoppage was unthinkable.

    1. dela hoya - imo, it eclipses his scintillating win over barrera. huge size advantage coming into the fight and one-sided beating.
    2. barrera 1 - pac's greatest win since yesterday. pac first shocked the boxing world.
    3. morales 2 - pac came back strong after receiving his defeat since his early days. stopped, the never been ko'ed before morales.
    4. marquez 2 - a close SD win over the 130 champ and lineal jmm. jmm was also the top 3 p4p fighter at that time just behind pac himself and floyd.
    5. sasakul - for me, this fight edges his victory over ledwaba and morales 3. he went to sasakul's home turf, where it is hard to get a decision win, and ko'ed him. sasakul was the lineal champion at 112 during that time and what makes this fight impressive is pac is just a 19-year old kid back then.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    6. ledwaba
    7. morales 3
    8. diaz

The De La hoya win is overrated. I was most impressed with the first Barrera win and the second fight with Marquez. Marquez is the best offensive tactician on the planet and Pacquiao hung in there for 12 rounds in a tight fight.

    Mine:

    1) The first fight with MAB - Simply put, one of the most dominating and one-sided wins EVER over an established and legit top P4P and a fellow ATG fighter. The way he manhandled MAB was just incredible, and who would have imagined MAB, who just 3 years ago, bullied and embarassed the hard-hitting Prince Naseem Hamed in a convincing UD victory, and still at his peak, would be treated like a rag doll for 11 straight, pitiful rounds, in his hometown of all places, without any respect to his reputation, boxing skills, nor to his power? No one saw it coming.

    2) His 10th round TKO of never-been-knocked out Erik Morales. If in the first fight he showed heart, here, he showed he can rise up against adversity by meticulously grinding down a tough and gamed warrior in Morales, and finally making a history by being the first to legitimately knocked out that legendary chin in the later rounds.

    3) The close decision against JMM in their rematch.

    4) His 3rd round destruction of Erik Morales. When I saw the fight, I thought, it must not be true. That was ****in' Morales and past-prime or not, no one could have put down Morales in that way. A legendary performance by Pacquaio.

    5) First fight with Morales. He did not take this one, but what I like here is he showed his heart, will and determination, and fought valiantly, albeit a little hopelessly, and finished the fight with his head and chin up. Too bad, the guy opposite him was also determined to gave out his all. A great fight nonetheles.
