Joint 1st: DE LA HOYA Joint 1st: BARRERA I 3rd: MORALES II 4th: MARQUEZ II 5th: DIAZ (because of the achievement and performance - I don't really rate Diaz, but Pac was superb in KO'ing him and becoming the 1st former flyweight champ in history to become lightweight world champ)
my problem is you buddy and your double standards. the man who once derided a win over a shot fighter as a disgrace is now rating a win over a shot fighter as a fantastic fighters best win. it does you and him no favours pal :good
Yawn. Desperation, bias, stupidity, I don't know which is more in evidence with your posts today. I'll go with your self-confessed and neverending bias towards anyone born in the UK. There was no evidence before Saturday that Oscar was shot, until he fights again it can only be assumed he couldn't handle Pac's speed and was seriously weight-drained, hence the bad performance. Had he been getting KTFO'd before Saturday then we would know he was shot, but he hadn't been, he was in good form, so we can't simply write it off as him being shot. Plus (and I really don't know how many times people have to say this before you recognize it), Pac jumped two weight divisions. The fight before last he was a superfeatherweight. He was fighting at 147. Take the Union Jack boxers off your head and you may see this. It's a great win because it's a great achievement. Your hero Beatboxer agrees with me entirely, I doubt you would be so snidey about it if it were he saying this (again) instead of me.
he wasn't deriding calzaghe after the fight though was he, completely ignoring important things like...the performance ? and i don't need to wait til he fights again to see he's finished, you could see it in every bone of his body during and after the fight . i guarantee that after manny is finished boxing this will not be seen as anything like his best win.
Anyone picking a weight drained and shot 35 year old, as Manny's greatest win is having a laugh. {A great win for his resume yes, greatest win in the ring of his career, definitely not}
Hopkins is an exception, as were guys like Walcott and Moore. You really don't think that in most cases a 29 year old doesn't have an advantage over a 36 year old? You really think a younger Oscar wasn't better than this Oscar? You really think age doesn't matter at all in boxing?
