    I can see that

    That would likely be a big mistake from Pacquiao's team. Its not likely to happen anyway.

    :huh. No i dont think so

    No way....

    Weigh in :
    Pacquiao = 145lbs
    Mayweather = 147lbs

    Fight night :
    Pacquiao = 149lbs
    Mayweather = 154 lbs

    :good The reason mayweather did not allow himself to be weighed on fight night against marquez. It would have been obvious that it was a mismatch. The dude will weigh well into the 150s fight night. He couldn't make 144. Pac will weigh 147.

    Seeing how Floyd came in at 146 against Marquez, he'll weigh 147 at the weigh in and 157 at fight time. He's bigger now. Paq will be 144 weigh in , but still under 150 coming in the ring. Floyd is the bigger guy.

    Why? His focus was on speed for the fights with De La Hoya, Hatton and Cotto. He's far quicker than all 3 and that's what they were banking on. It's no good coming in light against Floyd who's just as quick. They might aswell spend the time getting him to a strong, powerful, fully-rounded 147 and use the extra weight and presence to try and out-muscle and hurt Floyd. He's not going to outbox Floyd, so why not try and bully him?

    It seems like more and more guys arent weighing in on fight night for HBO.

    They did for Pac/DLH.... do you remember if they did for Pac/Hatton and Pac/Cotto? I dont remember them doing it for the Cotto fight. PBF didnt do it for obvious reasons on the JMM fight.

    He didnt even weigh in at 157 for DLH, that seems too high.

    There has been some rumours about Floyd wanting 154lbs for this fight, which I think is fabrication! Floyd can & will make 147lbs. We should remember Floyd will have less weight to lose than Pacquiao!

    If you disagree, then just look at both guys when they are not in camp. Even when he was retired, Mayweather wentr to the gym & trained. Pacquiao may do some training outside of camp, but not to the same extent Floyd does!

    The fight will be at 147lbs, so as long as Floyd weighs 147lbs or less, that's all that matters! I'm sure Roach has tried negotiating a 145lbs catch-weight, but Floyd was having none of it! That does not necessarily mean that Floyd could not make 145lbs if required. It could be a psychological bit on Floyd's part by not agreeing to such terms!

    I have heard a press conference will be held on January 6/7th to annouce the fight. Can anyone elaborate on this?
