you know, I can't help but think that Pac and Roach are baiting these guys. Wouldn't that be some ****? I mean imagine if all this time Pac has been giving blood and keeping medical records proving that he is clean, and just letting these guys run off at the mouth?

This lawsuit isn't really strong, it is by no means a slam dunk or anything close.

Pacquiao's case centers around Schafer's comments, De La Hoya's Blog, Mayweather Sr.'s Comments, and Mayweather Jr.'s comments.

Mayweather Sr.'s comments are the easiest out of the bunch to try because he did say he thinks that Pacquiao is on HGH because of his explosiveness. But the argument is that were these his genuine opinion.

Schafer's comments are going to be the second easiest, but the snag with them is that they were made allegedly to one person, a Philippine reporter, months ago in private. What took the reporter so long to go to Manny with the comments? Why would Schafer make the comments when he had no stake in the upcoming fight other than Manny?

De La Hoya's blog post that I think they are targeting is the one where he questioned why Manny isn't taking the blood test for $40M. There isn't a case there because everyone is wondering that.

Mayweather Jr.'s alleged comments saying that the "Philippines are where the best PEDs come from" are hardly chargable if Mayweather is able to prove that a high number of PEDs do come from there. If it is, then it might be an wink and nudge but it isn't anything more.

And finally, the judge would have to determine how much these comments hurt Pacquiao's reputation. It isn't easy because he is a boxer and his entire job is based off of contract negotiation so he would have to prove that boxers XYZ won't get into the ring with him because of these allegations, not his refusal to take random blood tests.

Also the judge will take into account Pacquiao's and Arum's backpedaling on the issue, they agreed to testing anywhere-anytime, then it became no blood testing six weeks before the fight, to no blood testing at all, back to a fixed schedule blood testing. That is what most people that aren't *******s see as the main problem in all of this, Team Pacquiao changed their stance multiple times on the issue and came up with different Phobias for Pacquiao, and that is what caused the damage to Pacquiao's image.

I just don't see how Pac has suffered any quantifiable damages--other than a bruised ego. They were not attacks but conjecture protected under free speech.

What many people are not realizing is that he has to prove that the statements made were actually statements of fact, as opposed to insinuation, inuendo, hints, or opinions. Someone needs to have definitively declared that Pac was on steroids.

Then he has to prove that this statement was actually false. It's not enough to prove that the statement had no basis for truth, or that no one could prove it... He has to prove that the statements were false. Big difference.

Then he has to prove that the person who made the statement knew that it was false. Because he is a public figure or celebrity, he has to not just prove that they should have known that they were false, he has to prove that they actually knew the false nature of the statements.

Ok...what does that have to do with Pac? He didnt say Pac is on steriods...he says his country has the best performance enhancing drugs. Supplements are drugs...

Pac's case is a publicity stunt...
