That would be the thinking mans logic, and not nuthugging. I personally don't like Mayweather, but will admit he's a hell of a talent. After 2 years out of the ring while 2 years Manny has been beating the best talent....I'm not so sure Mayweather beats him. After watching that fight...I'm not so sure Mayweather would want a peice of him.
I do believe that's why he came out of retirement, and he knew it'd be a hell of a payday against a smaller fighter (that's why he's fighting JMM first). I just wonder if he isn't second guessing himself right now?

I see the matchup between Floyd and JMM as a 12 rnd tacticle fight. JMM being the smaller and a counter fighter will not be the aggressive fighter in the matchup. PBF is also a counter , defensive first fighter who will look to score on points to a win. This fight will not be a casual fan friendly fight. I see a chess match that many will find boreing.

This is a 50/50 fight to me.

Regardless, Pacman has now beaten Oscar and Hatton better than Floyd did.

Mayweather's fight with Hatton was competitive. Pac's fight with Hatton was not!

Marquez beat Pac two times. He can still beat Mayweather, but it will be very difficult in Vegas with Mayweather's referee and judges.

Pac will knock Mayweather out, if Marquez does not beat him to it.

Mannys style also suits him for the KO and he did it year or so after Floyd did it.

this fight has never been a mismatch. if they were the same size, I would favour JMM

    They are close in size.

The difference in size between Mayweather to Mosley or Cotto is bigger than Mayweather to Marquez

Agreed. I see it like the PBF-DLH fight tactical wise. But I don't believe JMM will come forward at all but hope to make Floyd come forward and counter. Could be like the Spinks-Taylor fight aswell. Small guy was able to neutralize Taylors power and pick shots making the fight relativly close.

Also JMM was able to neutralize Pac's speed so I think he might be able to do the same against PBF.

That being said its a longshot for JMM to be able to pull it off, I think PBF will win but I'm rooting for JMM!!!

Nope, Pacman has improved a lot after the 2nd fight with JMM but IMHO, JMM has a better work rate than Floyd which make him capable of pulling a win! JMM by decision.:yep

JMM has yet to beat Pac but I think he is capable of beating Floyd by decision with his better work rate. I expect a very boring fight and I hope JMM can make it worth watching.

You may not get the chance to be able to make that pick if JMM has his way........

......Telemundo sports, a spanish sports broadcast show just got through interviewing JMM tonight on its broadcast........the subject of a third Pac fight was brought up and he shot it down by saying that his sole focus from here to July 18 is solely on beating Floyd Mayweather, a diffucult but not an impossible task.
Marquez finished by stating, " I will put my mind, body and soul to this fight."

If JMM is supposed to show up to showcase Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a Pac showdown, somebody forgot to run that by Juan Manuel Marquez.:yep:bbb

I hate to point this out coz its been debated endlessly already. there is a strong argument for the second fight, but Pac won the first fight. most people tend to remember the gutsy comeback of marquez after the 3 KDs but pac finished the fight strong and the later rounds went to his scorecard
