Anyone got any good pad drills to share. This is me padding one of my new-ish boxers Roger. He's only been boxing 10-11 months. Drops his right hand every time he hooks on this video but usually keeps it in the right place. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icOmuugUBtc[/ame]
Thanks mate, love drill stuff- got plenty more I can do just got a new camera phone so will show stuff on here. Get my bits and bobs of the Mayweathers, Guzman and also a guy called Coach Rick.... Very flashy but it crosses over into sparring well and takes discipline of movement which is very important for good technique.
Lol , its a drill... We do body punch and move round too... thats a pre set pattern of punching.:good
He's from my area. I'm going to try to train with him next month. Don't have the time or the money right now.
You should be trying to hit the person instead of slow wide hooks they can see coming and shots they don't need to duck for. That teaches nothing and they will get a rude awakening when they realise punches are not that slow. You look about 60 though because you are losing hair apologies if you are not fit enough to do it fast. Plus, you are not letting the fighters get full leverage on the shots you are rushing your hands back to them at least 50% which teaches short punches and no one will ever be that near to them to land a shot on them.
