    Hopefully Eddie will snap these two up both up.. both are defo future world champions alongside Anthony Fowler and Andrew Selby.. that's 4 elite UK fighters going pro after rio.. exciting stuff.

    Plus numerous other top class fighters like Josh Taylor, Scott Fitzgerald, Fred Evans. Joe Joyce, Jack Bateson etc

    The only ones I could possibly see doing anything in the pros out of the ones you've listed are Fowler and Bateson.

    Birtley ABC will produce some quality pros in the future. They won 3 senior ABA titles this year. Pat McCormack, Luke McCormack, Calum French, Cyrus Pattinson and John Rud**** will all do very well.

    cmon man Fowler, Selby , Conlan and Barnes are certain to do very well. I think Barnes could be world champ within 7 fights look how dominant hes' been in WSB. Josh Taylor should do well too and some of the others. yeah the McCormack twins look good not seen the others you've listed though.

    Yeah I forgot to mention Barnes and Conlan they will be very good pros. Every time I've watched Selby he hasn't impressed me and I haven't seen much of Josh Taylor tbh. Cyrus Pattinson from Birtley beat Scott Fitzgerald in this years ABAs.

    Barnes could be world champion in 7-8 fights. I think Barnes could sign with McGuigan, himself and Frampton are best mates and Barnes would be perfect for the Belfast undercards.

    Barnes would win a world title now, he blew everyone away in WSB he is different gravy, best Irish amateur of all time, he will win Gold next year !

    i dont think you're the brightest spark. Both guys travel with irish passports, and are irish citizens.

    They are also paid by the irish sports council.

    Both guys class themselves as irish, and their paperwork would prove that.

    Paddy Barnes certainly does not accept himself as British or whatever,take a look at his twitter or even his official web......quite the opposite actually.Both fight and hold the tri colour on stage-their choice.

    95% of pro boxers in the north are from nationalist areas. It would be safe to say none of them would consider themselves anything other than Irish.
