Paddy just been on SSN and he is still raging... but spoke the most honest sense in years....

along the lines of "i will spend my money and borrow money to understand via a legal resolution how last night occured"

"every few fights we have these kind of decisions, we all go mad, then it goes away, and then somebody else gets their living ripped off, then we carry on etc etc"

    "not this time"

I paraphrase but it was on these lines

These people screwing fighters and the fans should be held accountable. I never wanna see that guy ref a fight ever again. I also wouldn't mind a few of these 'judges' financial affairs being scrutinised.

Wanna know the real problem for us true fight fans who love this great sport?

those finances/truth would rock us to the very core... we know, we all know... but just choose to carry on regardless.

    human nature.

Hes spot on, there usually outrage for 48 hours and then its built into the "narrative" in order to preserve both fighters rep.

Its not a pop at matchroom either, it happens elsewhere but look at the Burns v Beltran fight aswell. How are these farces are simply allowed to "go away" and be consigned to memory as if they didn't happen?

not good enough, there needs to be a review. Too much of that last night stank to high heavens.

Judges cards, referees general actions (not taking points away despite persistant infringements), his physical stopping of the fight.

Its a big accusation to make and i'm not saying its the case, but on the surface it looked like a directive to the ref to stop the fight at the first moment he could get away with it.

The judges cards are just staggering too (as is the case in alot of high profile fights where the "money fighter" is in any danger) and its not good enough to talk about "how could they have seen it like that", someone needs to be held accountable. Yes boxing is an extremely subjective sport in terms of opinion and lends to differences on how a fight is flowing but competence needs to be questioned if 2 of those judges saw that as being a 1 point fight at the time of stoppage. There was too much to lose for the money men in having Groves win last night this is the cold hard fact of it.

Boxing is a disgrace and has been for years.

The powers that be don't want to offend or hurt people. That is unacceptable. If your job is a professional referee, then you need to be the best or you are in the wrong profession. Same for judging. There is no accountability. Like Fitz says, we all move on. It's a disgrace.

What is the board doing, are they not working 7 days a week 8 til 8? Every fight should be reviewed for good practice, every poor call must have consequences, there has to be some sort of 1, 2 or 3 strike policy and then you are dropped from world title fights to british level to area level and then out of the profession.

The standard of fights, refs, judges, promoting etc is awful and has been for years.

I'd put £10 in paddys pot to bring out in the open why Howard Foster really stopped the fight and scorecards were bent (as if we don't already know)

I've always wondered why there is never any spotlight on Boxing from people in high office over some of the dodgy things that seem to happen again and again.

Then again in any sport i can't think of any situation where dodgy officiating has ever been looked into. Sure there's been a few scandals involving spot fixing, suspicious betting patterns. Investigations always involve a competitor or some obscure criminal gang from Asia. Never any officials.

I'd add another tenner to the pot

Paddy comes across as a proper straight shooter and a top lad.... He was fumin at the post press conference and pretty much forced Hearn into sayin that a rematch is a must

Scorecards are another thing, but do you really think Foster did Froch a favour last night? He single-handedly turned a large proportion of the public against Froch and denied him his most spectacular comeback.

Think everyone is frustrated because the fight didn't reach a natural ending in that Groves just wasn't given the chances afforded to Froch in the SAME fight.

The ref can just go before the board & quote fighters safety etc but he jumped in far too quickly in the context of the fight.

If Froch had dominated how Groves did then the ref jumping in even at that point would have been in the fighters interest safety wise last night no way.Froch was coming on strong & it would of been a fight we would of talked about for a long while afterwards for the fighters involved not the ref.

Why can't the judges cards be shown after the fight ?
With all the controversy surrounding recent scoring it may help us understand how the minds of these people work.
Last nights cards should be shown, and them we could see how they scored the rounds.
They should also be questioned on how they came to score the rounds as they did, if there is nothing to hide it seems the obvious answer.
It may help boxers and trainers understand what is needed to win a round in the eyes of certain judges.

The BBBoC should interview Howard Foster after the fight, not sometime next week as Robert Smith said last night.
I can't see why all referees are not asked to give a full account of how a fight went in their opinion. and as soon as possible after the fight seems to make sense to me.

don't be ridiculous, a guy needs time to talk to his handler and get his official story straight before going on the record.
