Looks to me like a man who's looking desperate and hoping to upset everyone's enjoyment and try gain some sort of pride out of ruining a great innovation for boxing.

It would be a travesty if he had to come out of the tournament...i'm not to up to date on the whole situation between Palle and Kessler so i can't comment to much but this won't be a short lawsuit.

I hope so. There's too much money in this for Showtime and Sauerland not to fight tooth and nail. We shall see:good.

Palle rendered his contract useless when he time and time again fell through with the bouts. He had three more options and he wasted two of them.

What a vile, slimey, repulsive **** of a man

  11. Don't worry chaps, I don't think it holds water.

"Chris Meyer, the general manager of Sauerland Event, told ESPN.com... we have reviewed his attorney's contentions that no contract exists between Palle and Kessler. Palle can sue whomever he wants. But it does not give him any options or any rights over Mikkel Kessler at all. He simply does not have a valid contract with Kessler."

Besides, there's been too much promotion behind this tourney. The ball is rolling and it's gathering momentum. There's hype out there for it, and even non boxing fans are taking an interest. I really don't think he can stop it.

Hopefully. Saureland must have been confident when they signed him and I'm sure Showtime ran the rule over whether Kessler was contractually eligible for the tourney as well. I hope it's nothing more than Palle just being a bitter, twisted ****.

Palle has had some more to say today. I edited out the bits where he's blowing smoke up his own arse (which was most of the statement to be fair):

'I’ve been biting my tongue for too long and now I want to set the record straight about Kessler, about the pirate promoter Sauerland Event and the pirate cable TV network Showtime. I am sueing or will sue Kessler, Sauerland and Showtime.. I will pursue my breach of contract and other legal claims against all of these parties and some others who have interfered with my existing and ongoing exclusive promotional contact with the WBA super middleweight champion.

Showtime’s Ken Hershman never called me about putting Kessler into the Super Six tournament that Showtime and other networks are financing. Clearly, Hershman and Showtime purposely and knowingly interfered with my promotional contract when Sauerland got together with them. It was only a couple of years ago that Hershman and Showtime CEO Matt Blank came to Denmark to sit down with me to discuss Kessler fighting on Showtime on a regular basis.

Let me explain the background here. Kessler obligated himself to a three fight option agreement with my company, International Entertainment, ApS. It is all written down in the contract that I have the exclusive right to promote three more Kessler bouts. Obviously those rights are extremely valuable.

But I am going to fight Kessler, Sauerland, Showtime and any others involved in such contractual interference in every court and in every country I need to. It’s not only about money, it’s also about principle. It’s about the sanctity of honoring contracts and fulfilling them to the letter.

With Sauerland, no promoter is safe from their plundering. I am not looking for thanks from Kessler for superbly building his career and making him a multimillionaire who can’t afford to live in high tax Denmark.

But I will vigorously and aggressively enforce my legal rights... in a court of law in Denmark and in the United States, the contract that Kessler intelligent and freely signed and agreed to, will prevail.'
