Yes, I agree. I feel like the fair answer would be... Panama beats in greateness... Puerto Rico beat Panama by raw numbers in the long run... Ivan Calderón for example, he is not up there in the top 5 PR... but he would easily be number 6 or 7 in a Panama´s ranking, if he was Panamanian...

Can we deduct points for Panama Lewis? (He was apparently born in Panama but an American national.)

I guess we could also dock Puerto Rico for Luis Resto to even it out. I think he was Puerto Rican?

If you watch both fights and don't see a difference in Duran, God bless you.

Wow, alright, well, I mean I had made a joke and spoke to Panama Gans. Youse lot decided to correct my verbiage in the joke. I did try to double down on the tongue-in-cheek nature but it doesn't seem like anyone is interested.

Bro, do you want an honest discussion about what it means to be Latino? Seems to be the only thing about my input that interests you and if I am honest my sole motivation at this point would be the extreme ignorance I am seeing out of you. No offense, I am not offended, I'm just ... wow you do not know us at all kind of taken aback.

If that's the case I'll pop over lounge way and drop a thread, it's cool if you want to learn and buddy you could do with some learning. I'll say this though, there is no ubiquitous culture across any entire hemispheres of the planet. If mister Brasil here is actually Brazilian he'll agree they're hardly reflective of me and vice versa. Their latinoism is really just Brazilian.

Also, it's funny to me when blue eye'd white guys can't understand two continents worth of people not being one homogenous culture like as if Europe is this bastion of singular culture with no differences in ethnicity or practices. All the while England keeps a healthy number of comedy pointed at France and Germany. Can't understand a Puerto Rican and Cuban picking on a Mexican but a Russian and Englishman picking on a German is totally understandable. Purely on European stereotypes alone. ... christ guy .... we are humans too homie. We pick on one another. I am Latino, I opened this can of worms by doing just that. ****.

I misunderstood your point, sorry, so I edited my post. some people here know me well enough since 2010, I´m actually brazilian sim.
Latinos stand together in USA, it seems... but there is a lot of picking or straight up prejudice among latin-americans. Just go to a soccer match in Libertadores and they´ll never look at this subject the same way... (and it´s not only the argies like people pretend to.. it was peruvian fans that threw bananas at black players some years ago. Edit - or they threw bananas at the black referee, or both... I don´t remember it exatctly, but it is the Cruzeiro, Tinga match... it just happened in Paraguay last year, I believe.. and so on and so forth)

Not everyone is from Southern California. I’m Australian. We have a massive population here of Greeks & Macedonians. What could you tell me about these people off the top of your head? Not much, would be my guess. We obviously grew up in, & around, different cultures. Why take offense to me simply asking? I already stated this isn’t my specialist area - just I know these are all Spanish-speaking countries, so it seems logical to me the two nations would have relatively similar ethnic stock. Yes, I’m aware there are mixes. In Sydney, there are a growing number of Latinos (my wife is from Ibagué, in Colombia), but that wasn’t the case when I grew up in the 1990’s.

What’s obvious to you isn’t obvious planet-wide. You aren’t that important.

Panama has a greater top 5 but PR has a much better top 20. BoxRec rates the 48-22-7 Antonio Amaya as the 12th greatest Panamian, whereas the 12th greatest Puerto Rican is Wilfredo Vazquez. Overall I think PR just beats Panama since they've had more champions and for a longer time.
