Recently made a video of the great Flyweight champion Pancho Villa. Anyone have some thoughts on him? He had a tragic end to his life, died at 23 years old from complications following a tooth extraction.

Tragically similar to what would eventually claim the life of an equally young Les Darcy, an infected tooth after having his front two knocked out and "reinserted". Amazing how medicine has changed in relatively so little time.

Quality video. That leaping left hook of his was lightning fast, and hit hard, too. And it's obvious to see that Villa's inside defense was top notch, able to slip in rhythm as he punished the body with relentless pressure.

Pancho Villa defeated Welsh legend Jimmy Wilde for title . Like Aussie boxing legend Les Darcy Pancho died too young. Thanks for making this vd and honoring a great fighter.

A practioner of the cross arm defense.

I'm sure he took a few moves from filipino martial art Kali.
