Yes, Banks was just under 170lbs (contract weight) and Miranda was a hair over, but Banks agreed not to not force Miranda to lose the little weight.

I guess he eats too much... I hope he ain't sluggish come fight night because I'm tired of hearing his weight issue when he fought Pavlik...

eddison needs to discipline himself. and he needs a better team. he could fight at 160 but he is not a gym rat and therefore could not keep himself in fighting shape year round.

Miranda came in .6 LBS over the contract limit with Banks....
Edison has serious conditioning problems, maybe he should give B-Hop a call to know what a world class top fighter needs to do to stay in shape when not fighting ! Miranda needs to run 7 miles every day and stop the weights....

His weight isn't his problem, his problem is that he needs to improve technically as a fighter. That's his problem, well he does need to control his weight.

Edison has never lifted weights in his life and runs more than 7 miles a day during his training camps.

He was actually .4lbs over the limit.

1- Bull**** on the "never lifted weight".

2- He needs to stay in shape between fights. Is he ******ed or he just doesn't care? Does he have a decent conditioning coach and nutritionist?

I know it is hard to believe, but he has never lifted. Maybe the build came from working in the plantain fields at the age of 5 years old. Who knows. And he does have a good team. He is just naturally big, but able to lose more weight than most peope his size. I just think this is catching up to him.

Dude, every pro fighter lift weights.

Bute does it, Calzaghe does it, Kessler does it, Mayweather does it, etc...

I know Miranda's workout schedule very well (since he came to the States) and he does not lift weights. He actually hates the idea of it. The only muscle building exercise he does is situps.
