Maybe he only conditions with weights? I have heard of that before vs strength training with weights. But I would have to agree that every pro fighter uses weights of some sort....even if its just a medicine ball

By the way...look at Jean Pascal's built, he naturally looks larger than Miranda and doesn't yoyo up and down in weight like Pantera does...

thats not good... a fighter in shape will not explode in weight like that, means he was very drained... if its true. i mean i believe you i just dont know if i believe him or maybe hes just mistaken.

The only explanation for Miranda is he is suffering from chronic constipation and therefore accumulates too much weight unintentionally......

    He's fulla **** ! :yep

Not even close. Toney turned into a fat ass. Miranda is just a big guy. He could go up to 220lbs and still look a ton better than someone like Sultan!

Boiling yourself can be very bad long term.... let alone for your next fight. He needs to stop this NOW.

he eather needs to be always in the gym ala mayweather, hopkins, ect.... or he needs to maybe move to 175.

he is one of my top fav fighters... but to me things just dont look bright to me for edison.

A lot of fighters cut this much weight, bit surprised so many of you are shocked

Its a double edged sword: you get to be the bigger stronger guy, at the risk of stamina down the stretch.

Guzman entered the ring against Soto 23lbs more than he weighed in - and thats a much smaller guy.

i wouldnt say A LOT of fighters come into the ring 20lbs over what they weighed in at... there are a handful that do it... usually cant do it on a regular basis and is followed soon with a move up in weight. and the main problem here is, he didnt even meet the weight. THATS the problem.... if he were to have made the weight then put on 15lbs... ok i can see that.

But to NOT have made the weight and then put on over 20lbs is HORRIBLE for a contender.... especially one in limbo such as edison. It will also have long term effects if he keeps this up.
