i wouldnt be suprised if there are no pics or a lot of info.... lots of times smaller fights like this, their weigh ins really dont garner that much attention, as much as id like at least.
i KNOW you haven't boxed before, in the gym most old time trainers dont allow the use of weights and yet you see guys ripped and muscular, and all they do is there boxing training, calzaghe does not lift weights, read his book, floyd mayweather lifted to go up weight divisions, weight lifting is a big no-no to the old school trainers, but you get guys like shane mosley, kostya tszyu and ricky hatton who have strength and conditioning coaches guiding them.
Miranda came up at the weight-in at 170.4 lbs which was 4 onces over the weight stipulated in the contract. So, he had to do little excercice (or take a ****) for few minutes to lose that extra. Pascal made the weight without problems! He is in top shape the guy!
yea but theres a difference between putting on 21lbs by fight night which is over 24 hours later and putting it back on by 11:30PM on the same day of the weigh in.
Pascal weighed in at 171lbs (his contract weight). Miranda did not have trouble making the weight. He just missed the mark by a small amount. If his contract weight was 169, than he might have weighed in at 169.4. Or if it was 171, he might have been at 171.4... He just came dow nice and slow for this fight, and was slightly off on the scale. That doesnt bother me one bit. I know he was eating full meals the day before. Unlike for the Pavlik fight when he did not eat for 3 days.
Why keep trying to discredit the performance by Pavlik by saying Miranda should not have been at 160 and didn't eat for three days. The better man one the fight get over it!!!
The better man that night. There is bound to be a rematch at 168lbs if they both keep winning. We will see who the better man is than.
******ed logic. With this kind of thinking you can take the meaning out of every fight that ever happened.
