Pantera, still has a lot to learn in the boxing, but one thing I notice last night against a far lesser opponents n Banks was that he was patient threw out the fight ...sure Banks was not much of an opponent, but he was a physically strong opponent, with a little bit of movement....It took Pantera 3 and half rounds to get comfortable an in the flow...and he is getting to understand boxing enough to take advantage of obvious flaws on Banks technique....

The KO was a thing of beauty, as he landewd the right cross on the timple area and it was all over after that...all over...

I want to know who you guys see him in the SWM climate...could he make some noise...I think he can...

I would like to see him next against Jeff Lacy a taylor made opponent for Pantera

I dont care where he gets placed. He needs to continue to win and do the same thing with the tops guys out there.

This is the weight where he needs to be. I have confidence he will be a champion before the end of the year.

He could be champ by the end of the year but he wont beat these 3 to get a belt - Joe, Kessler, Mundine

Pantera,is getting better, end of the year might be pushing it,he still need to loearn defensive skills, his movement and patient was good but what is the point of putting him with another guyn that is miles ahead of him on technique, with similar power and we will have Pavlik all over again...

I will say this....Put him against Andrade and lets seee how he fair, I think he will faired really well against Lacy....

...Lacy after that...let him become the 3 or 4th before going for the title fight in 2009

Well there are a lot of options for Miranda at super middle. What a war a fight between he and Lacy would be.

Love to see him in against Taylor as well.

He's at minimum a top 10 at sm.

    Top 5? Maybe/maybe not.

Looked sluggish early with Banks, but stayed on task and scored the impressive knock out.

He can't beat Calzaghe, Kessler, Mundine, and probably not Bute either. Against anyone else he's, at worst, a slight underdog.

If he fights Pascal, I'd still be sort of interested, but boy did Pascal do everything he could to kill the buzz for that fight.

As I mentioned on the initial post, Lacy be a great fight and taylor made for him, but I would fight Andrade first another stationary hard puncher taylor made for Pantera...after those two fight this year...I can see him going for the title in 2009

    Both are good fights.

I'd take the Lacy one first, bigger pay and easier fight.

Lacy looks to be fighting Tarver so that might rule him out if he decides to stay at 175.

All 4 belt holders are top fighters at 168 so waiting til 2009 for a title shot might be a good idea.

The Pascal fight still makes sense. Miranda would be a solid favorite so he could pick up another nice win there. That fight just doesn't have the same luster since Pascal stunk it up with Pittman.

I am not worry about Lacy at 175, he was small for 168 he is definitevely to small for 175, after Tarver rapped him , Birminghan will realized wht a monumental mistake that was..back to 168..

But Pantera , lets take it easy for now, Andrade is top 10, lets fight him. if Lacy is not availabgle lets faired him against a season veteran like Sakio Bika, this could potential be a great fight contrasting styles, that will make for an existing fight...if he go past Bika , heis ready for the top 4 competition, and COULD win

You are totally right about Lacy not belonging at 175.

Bika and Andrade, I'd like both those fights with Miranda.

Miranda might not be the greatest fighter in boxing today but he makes for entertaining fights.

I would still love to see him and Taylor if I could make one Miranda fight happen.

He is not ready for Taylor as of yet, in my scenario, if he beats Bika, then he would be ready for Taylor....

Pantera is work in progress, and he has a great attitude..he obviously is a hard worker and wants to keep learning...and he live in the best country in the worldd for this, Puerto Rico...

Yeah, but Miranda has a weak left hand. His jab is okay, but his hook is practically non-existant.

Miranda is basically a one handed fighter.

If Banks wasn't trying to look so pretty by keeping his left hand down, he might have had a chance.

Instead he chose to try to be PBF and got his ass kfto.

If you have a good jab, can circle away from his right hand, and KEEP YOUR LEFT HAND up, you have a significant chance of beating Miranda.

I think Green stops him in a rematch.

Pascal is not Banks. He won`t stand beside the ropes and wait for Miranda to punch him...I think Pascal will win the fight because of his speed...
