It was a good read, I had no idea he was this much into the sport. I did see him in a boxing gym on an episode of Headbanger's Ball though, where he talked about going there and training somewhat.

I think Phil Anselmo and Henry Rollins used to spar.

"LOSING to Jose Luis Castillo in their first fight, but being given a gift decision...winning the rematch with Castillo by “boxing” safety first, beating a chin dented, underachiever in Zab Judah after LOSING the the first four rounds"

I'm sorry but that irrational statement discredits everything else he has to say. It's pretty clear this is nothing more than an opinionated editorial. To imply that Mayweather was "gifted" a W in his fist bout with Castillo is bad enough, but then to follow it up by critiquing the rematch is just asinine.

And somehow insinuating that Mayweathers giving 3 rounds to Judah and then dominating the rest of the fight shows a flaw in Floyd, is he serious? The guy has only had ONE close fight in his entire career.

Just another hater. Thanks for the music though.

K0NPHL1C7 Of course it is a "opinionated editorial". But i do agree with most of his toughts. Not sure for Roy Jones...i think they are suffering some nostalgia sickness. I mean, they are saying exactly how they (and i) would like it to happen. JR has a chance but not that much. As for PAntera, i saw them in 1991 (i think) in MOntreal's Spectrum. My first "adult only" show. That was really good.

I saw them in 98?ish in Lewiston, (Maine) - At the very sight of Ali's famous "Phantom Punch". I met Ali at the same venue a few years earlier. They were having a 25-year commemorationof that famous fight. I also met Shannon Briggs that night when he was still a cruiser.

Maybe Panterna can open for AC-DC when they Tour next year. But Phil Alsemlo should stick to being a deity for potheads, and dudes that work at Circle K that look like Jay and Silent Bob. He cannot carry the sweaty jockstrap of Ronnie James Dio and you can quote me on that.

    ^I'd prefer a Pantera reunion :p
I wonder what Phil would be like as a ring announcer?
