    My brother studied for 6 months at UNC and had always intended on going to Mexico whilst he was over there.
    He spent over a year studying Spanish but his teacher was from Spain and I believe had that lispy accent.
    He was said it was basically for nothing because the Mexicans just said “que?” when he attempted Spanish and they spoke with too much of an accent for him to understand properly.

    He did date a pretty good looking torta whilst he is the states though.
