November 2nd in Nakhon Sawan. WBC minimumweight title on the line, 1st defense of Pradabsri. The incumbent has oodles more professional experience than his challenger, but, on the flipside of that same coin, more wear & tear. Ngiabphukhiaw, a 21 year old upstart who righted the ship after getting off to a rocky 2-2 start in his debut year of 2019, is coming off a capture of the vacant Thai flyweight championship. They have one common opponent, Wichet "Saentanong Tor Sirachai/Onesongchaigym" Sengprakhon, who actually has fought exclusively this pair in his last three bouts. Pradabsri made him retire after four rounds in September of 2020 heading into his upset over Chayaphon "Wanheng Menayothin" Moonsri for the green belt, and then Saentanong Tor Sirachai blitzed him in a single round last December before knocking him out again inside 3 in March. Panya gets him out of there before 8. Panya better enjoy his belt while he can cause the Shigeoka bros are coming for his belt.
I actually think Ngiabphukhiaw is a live underdog and could upset the apple cart before he gets the chance to go lose his belt in Japan. Of course, the reckless young southpaw could also just as easily get stopped here. And yes, either Shigeoka would smash whichever Thai emerges as champ.
Could they really only find Windows '95 quality jpegs of each fighter to put the promotional imagery together for the poster? This content is protected
