Other than his two wins over the aging but still competitive Chayaphon Moonsri, Pradabsri has a very weak resume for a man with 39 career wins. If the moment isn't too big for him Shigeoka has a good chance of pulling off the upset.
The problem with todays boxing: Unlike in the 80s, when I knew Jiro Watanabe, Khaosai Galaxy, Payao Poontarat , Sun Kil Moon, Sot Chitalada, Katsuo Tokashiki and of course the tragic Duk Koo Kim by name, nowadays I dont know which website is available except this one and boxrec, to become familiar with most boxers, INCLUDING Hispanic and American ones, the ones Im supposed to be familiar with since those are the two languages I dominate. So you say Panya vs Yudai and I think" oh cool, two guys are going to fight!" The difference is back then, we had magazines at the supermarkets and newspapers that published boxing news. So we knew exactly where to look for to read boxing news and everyone was more familiar with boxers, the casual person included. I suspect Im not the only one with that problem and who misses the magazines (I of course always bought Ring Magazine and KO Magazine together with Tiger Beat, 16 and Teen Beat at the same shopping trip, LOL!) We bought the magazines and then opened them and read about Katsuo Tokashiki vs Lupe Madera....I miss that!
I don't personally have it, but if you get Twitter, there is a pretty good boxing information scene on there. I've also opened a Japanese boxing thread and will soon open a thread for 105 to 115. I'll update the Japanese thread tomorrow.
