I can't believe this fight almost slipped past me. I am actually a fan of Paolo Vidoz, but it seems as though his best days are past him and he doesn't take training seriously anymore (probably not for quite some time really). Anyway, I am still looking forward to this one.
And Pulev has a TBA fight lined up for January. Gotta love Pulev and Helenius. Also, Fury is taking on the ever dangerous Zack Page.
So the weights are in. Pulev coming in at 247 lbs (same as he was last time out when he beat Dominick Guinn) and Vidoz coming in at a career high of 270 lbs. A shame that Vidoz doesn't take training serious anymore.
No ****! Pulev is on a really fast track, I haven't even catch the Guinn fight (heard it wasn't a beauty) and he's taking on Vidoz tonight... nice. I like how they don't waste time, Helenius, Solis, Ortiz, Fury, all on a fast track, but they better not turn back before the finish line like Povetkin did.
I love Vidoz but he's really slowed. He looked plodding against Sosnowski and against a Danish C-level fighter (although he should have gotten that decision). What he still is is durable. I see Pulev taking a decision. The Vidoz of 2004 could have given Pulev a good scrap.
