If Lockett was more competitive with Pavlik, this fight would have happened.

A 40 year old Roy is worthy and Pavlik isn't?, that's pure bull****. Just compare Roy Jones' recent accomplishments with Pavlik's.

No matter how you spin this... Calzaghe is ducking Pavlik!

Calzaghe said after the Kessler fight that the rest of his fights was about securing his legacy. Pavlik is the "Man" right now in the american boxing scene. So legacy wise he is the obvious fighter to meet at this point.

But clearly Calzaghe is going for the moneyfight. What a shame! He would make a heap of money fighting Pavlik, instead he choose to make a heap of money and then some taking the easy way out.

Is it ok to duck fighters? Yes...

Is it a shame for the fans? Yes.

Yeah, but Roy Jones has a bigger name in Britain than Kelly Pavlik. As yet no promoter will guarantee Calzaghe the kind of paycheck to fight Pavlik stateside that he can make against Jones back in Wales. You hear lots of talk about "legacy" but what they really mean is the legacy stored in their bank account.

The truth is that Gary told Enzo that Kelly would murder Joe! After all, Gary & Joe do spar together.

I've tried so hard to like Calzaghe but it's so hard after watching his fights and listening to this moron of a father

Pavlik has the formula down for becoming a huge draw...keeping his mouth shut, fighting anyone, and knocking them the **** out

Kirk I'll take Jones over Calzaghe on your thread if the fight ever happens

There is some truth in those statements....and some slaver.

Regardless i love Enzo....he's ****ing mad.

This is Boxing man, its people like him that make our sport stand out from the rest. His personality and the likes are essential to our sports survival, our sport was weened on it....you understand what im saying.

And no Im not saying Enzo Calzaghe is savior of boxing, im saying running your mouth and causing a debate is whats in the very veins of Boxing.

Dont knock it, you love Boxing because of it.....

If you get a large amount of people talking constantly every day,of course there will be a lot of BS.Its unavoidable, partly because theres no real reason to watch what you say or self-edit too much, its only a net forum.
Enzo is different,he's only one person,so he drags the standard down all by himself; Also,Hes in a rarified, highly visible and influential position.
Plus the top brains on here would **** on Enzo in that position.
We have the young hypno's and Toopretty's,sure,:good but we have the Zakmans and Rumseys too
