:good Everyone talks about tito's power blah blah... If you are a heavy hitter at 147 against 147lb opponents what makes you think the same punches at 170 will effect a 170 fighter the same? Tito was a strong WW, but against MW or higher, he is average at best. That was very evident in the Jones fight. Tito's body shots did nothing. RJJ wasn't hurt at all in the fight and the 'power' of tito wasn't a factor. Tito is a limited boxer. If he can't out muscle you, then he loses.

As many have said, if tito keeps fighting he is just shitting on his earlier work. This shell of a fighter and his daddy are successfully making asses of themselves and boxing. Its amazing what people do b/c of jealousy. Meaning tito isn't PR's favorite son anymore. Now that Cotto is in the equation, we are forced to watch a WAY past prime Tito get beat up again and again.

I've always thought the same thing. I remember when he fought DLH they said Trinidad was a natural middleweight and I was looking at how skinny he was, smaller it seemed than DLH. Good common sense question you posted but don't have the answer.

Trinidad should call it quits if he isn't willing to put the work in to get down to 160. With a better nutritional program, he obviously could make middleweight again.

Pavlik is the champion who has 33 straight victories. Trinidad is the inactive veteran with 3 losses in his last 5 fights. Pavlik shouldn't move up for him.

trinidad if he continues fighting should fight at 154.

he looks like a welterweight even at middleweight let alone light heavy.

Cheato Trinidud nees to either retire for good or train his ass up to make weight and get those paychecks he really wants, not expect others already making good money and who could care less in fighting him to dance to his song.

Its a pity if what Trinidad Sr. is true.
Trinidad imo would have a legit chance vs Pavlik at 160 lbs.

If they fought at 170 lbs, that imo would benefit Pavlik who has a much bigger frame than Trinidad.

I cant be too harsh on Trinidad however. It may be a case like JL Castillo, where he cant make 135lbs, even drains himself to make 140 lbs, and just outright does'nt have the body frame to compete at 147 lbs.

wow, thats really a surprise for me, in all honesty, if tito cant make 160, he should enjoy all the money he made, and not trash his legacy anymore.

Whats more surprising is that Pavlik is even thinking about taking the fight.

    Papa Pavlik says:

"**** you *******, what exactly have you done in the last 5 years that is of any relevance to the sport of boxing?"
