Paquiao VS De La Hoya in Dubai

    I was reading an article in a filipino sports page about a possible show down between the "Golden Boy" and Pac-Man in Dubai. Team Paquiao is really wanting this to materiealize for late 2009. No Weight class was mentioned and some promotion company in dubai is willing to put up $20mil for Oscar to participate.

    Is it just me or is Manny ego tripping? Does anyone see this realy happening? cuz i don't....

    I really hope this doesn't happen, but if Pac can make $20mil or something like that to fight Oscar...who could blame him.

    That's what it sounded like to me just a way to make serios loot. Like Mayweather is doing, no reason to fight Oscar than to make money. Thats the only reason fighters want to take on the promoter De La Hoya.

    Its all a media ploy to hype up Pacquiao. I can't believe so many pinoys got swallowed whole by this.:-(

    Media Hype is working for manny! No wonder he is PAID much much much much more than any other boxer in his weight category! :yep ;)

    The fight taking place is unlikely.

    If it does take place, the fight taking place in Dubai and not Las Vegas is even more unlikely.

    I can see it happening. If both guys want it, there's no reason for it not to happen. I mean, there ARE reason, but non that will matter to them. A huge fight in Dubai would be one for the records actually.

    funny... and many though DLH was too big, Manny was outmatched. This was one of the worst beat downs you will ever see in a boxing ring. This is why i laugh when some think Floyd is too big for Manny...
