Your head is so far up the UFC or Danas ass its unbelievable. Are you somekind of internet police for Dana? You must be on their payroll. Who does what you do?? Food for thought. People can criticize a sport and like it at the same time. Think independently man.. HAve you got no common sense? Anytime there is news of drugs and failed tests(and this has gone on in a bunch of cards) it is not good for the sport. A sport thats still trying to legitimize itself a a mainstream, major sport. And then you manage to quote me to show everyone my hate for MMA. Have you not seen my posts when some moron tries to belittle or make stupid comments about MMA? I apologize if Im not rah rah rah all the time. The UFC is a business and they do put out shitty cards, and no I dont want to hear you tell me "then dont watch". As long as people pay $50 for PPV, they will not stop giving the fans Okami vs. Franklin as main event. This is business 101. And also Penn/GSP is the biggest fight they will have this year. Even your daddy Dana mentioned it as the biggest fight in years. What is it that you dont understand?
Karo may not have cheated but you can't allow exceptions. There may just be traces in his system from injuries. At the same time if Karo took it and his pain threshold increased then obviously that can't be tolerated.
There you go, Im not disagreeing with you. Although I must say when the sports main purpose is to put as much hurting on the other guy, it takes it to a different level. All combat sports should test for HGH. Baseball, NFL, Boxing, NHL..These are mature sports with a rich history. Lets forget drugs for a second and focus on boxing, is there a sport more maligned than boxing? Corruption, injustice, greed..yet they are still there. While MMA basically is a third tier sport outside the UFC.
Never heard of that before in my life. I know performance enhancers and recreational drugs are banned substances. I didnt know pain killers were also banned. If that is the case thats INCREDIBLY ******ed.
I know right. People should just be able to pop few pain killers before the match so they can fight with broken arms and legs.
What if it was something innocuous like a headache? Fighter gets stressed from worry with his up coming bout, decides to take a pain killer for his headache. Makes perfect sense. Then NSAC test him and he fails a drug test? Thats the biggest load of bull**** iv heard in a long time.
From what I understand, correct me if someone knows better, the things he got tested positive for are strong opiates. It's not something you can buy over the counter. They also have a threshold for how much in your **** you can have. When it's obvious that you took it before the fight and your **** smells like morphine... what else is there to say.
Regardless painkillers would put him at a dsiadvantage. It would not make him go through th fight not feeling pain. He'd be high. You can't fight better high. I've taken them all, morphone, percocet, vicodin, roxacette, firocet, etc etc. No way I could fight better on them. They are in your system for 3 days. He could have taken them right after the fight or two days before. It doesn't even matter on bit.
Opiates are just about every pain killer there is. I take morphine 30mg here and there and it does **** but make me mellow.
