From the official UFC site:- A last-minute back injury has forced welterweight contender Karo Parisyan to withdrawfrom his UFC 88 bout with Yoshiyuki Yoshida. Shame as I was looking forward to the fight. Wanted to see how Yoshida would do against someone like Parisyan.
This sucks! This would have been a great match. Parisyan has a bad habit of losing opportunities at the last minute.
Dong Hyun Kim vs Matt Brown fight has been moved to the main card. Good to see Dong Hyun Kim get some more exposure.
Who the hell gets injured one day before a fight? What the hell was Parisyan doing? I've seen it happen in the dojo all the time. Guys make it through six weeks of intense training - then during the last two weeks when they are supposed to take it easy going into the fight - they slip on the mat or some other common accident and get sidelined due to injury.
damn thats bull****...that would have been a hell of a fight...they should have searched harder for a replacement
