Let the daft destroyer bulk up a bit, then he will get a few quid and definitely get closure, I'm sure Ed could flog this one!
Whoever it is, Dels going to be awkward about it and want more money. Would like it to be big Pricey but it won't be.
The Brazilian punchbag was supposed to come out of retirement last weekend after a 2 year absence from the ring following three straight defeats, the last 2 being TKO's against Ustinov and Hrgovic, the other being on points against The Super Swede that made Tyson bleed. Yup, the 'dangerous' Otto Wallin couldn't get him out of there, although neither could the newly crowned Terminator of the division, the unstoppable force that is Andy 'Can't Be Touched, Can't Be Rocked' Ruiz Jnr. It's worth remembering what Joshua did to him, a beautiful KO, splattering Love across the ring like he was nothing. Hunter would be a good fight, he'd probably beat Del and raise his profile so that won't happen. Povetkin on short notice maybe, Pulev 2 would never happen, neither would Kayabel 2, although Del avenging that loss would be nice to see.
Can't see that m8 tbh.Think they will sit down and agree it's in everyone's best interests to keep chisora on the card? Ultimately it will be up to delboy.
Hearn tweeted a picture of Shannon Briggs earlier, he also put the laughing emoji in his tweet, but maybe he was testing the waters to see what the general response would be.
Ruiz - No Wilder - No. Fury - no. AJ - No. Whyte - if he’s not getting banned then why not? Povetkin - why not? Miller - he’s being saved for Whyte or Fury in the US in my opinion. Ortiz - got the wilder fight. Pulev - sitting on his mandatory. Kownacki - sitting waiting for Wilder. Hrgovic - not known enough. breazeale - why not? Rivas - known to UK fans and got a hard done by story. Plus mutual foe. Hammer - not on PPV. Washington - maybe but see above. Joyce - BT / no. Martin - possibly. Price - possibly. that’s the top 20. you’ve got Povetkin, Rivas, Breazeale, Price as the most likely. Can’t see Chisora taking Hunter or Bakole. High risk little reward.
I never even thought of Rivas, he'd be perfect actually IMO. The very short notice could be the stumbling block though if he hasn't been in the gym. Well, I say very short notice, but some would say 3 weeks is plenty of time to get a suitable replacement, eh @anjawnaymiz ?
Del boy is such an awkward chap, he will pull out imo That or fight a nobody, I can't see him taking on a name without demanding more money.
Anybody know if Miller's drug ban is over ?? If it is and he's not in the middle of a cycle he'd be the perfect replacement. Rivas is a good shout as well.
Hearn stated the list of potential replacements; Hunter, Povetkin, Rivas, Bakole, Charr and Wallin. Stated they will have a replacement arranged by the weekend. I am happy with all the potential opponents named except the two poorest in Charr and Wallin.
This content is protected Charr never fights so i doubt it will be him. Wallin had a tough fight two weeks ago so i dont see him turning around that quick. Out of the rest i think Povetkin and Bakole make great slug fests. Hunter out boxes chisora with ease.
