    Wilder is the 4th best.

    Parker is a close 5th

Wilder knocking out Ortiz twice > every Parker win

Wilder almost knocking out Fury twice is huge. No way Parker would

Parker lost to Whyte, Chisora the first time really, struggled with Hugie Fury, lost almost every round to Joshua.

Wilders overall career is better even with a head to head loss to Parker when Wilder was clearly past it

It is close though and if Parker adds a little more I could see Parker becoming 4

Wilder at his peak was just way more dangerous

Palomino and Cuevas might be a better comparison then.

But for me AJ has a better resume and clearly so. Fury has lineal.

There's just not a lot between them. The post Wlad era ranks

    Usyk

    Fury/AJ

    Parker

I don’t think it’s that close. Deontay finished top 3 from 2015 through 2022 with a single finish at 4 and two rankings at 2. Parker did nothing close to that.

Just goes to show how following the sport trumps nitpicking records while overrating Parker’s recent wins.

Those rankings are based on guesswork. What actual wins back up such a lofty ranking

I'd expect Parker to go 0-3 against Fury in one sided fights and 0-2 against Ortiz. I'd also expect him to have a really tough fight against Stiverne from the first fight even if he ultimately won.

You can look though his win resume and see his level. The Ruiz win was pretty good, but could've gone either way and a lot of conditions in that fight were favorable to Parker. He did worse against Cojanu than Ortiz. Worse against Hughie than Pulev. Worse against Chisora than a bunch of guys. Worse against Takam than Povetkin and Chisora. And he somehow lost to Whyte, who was never good.

In order for him to rank ahead of Wilder, I'd need to see him do something like pick up a vacant belt and defend it a handful of times against some decent guys (he's not beating any of the big three). Beating a spent Wilder and outlasted a zero stamina Zhang (a trick already basically pulled off by Forrest and Hrgovic) really isn't enough.

Wilder was better back then, but as for THIS era, Wilder is a shot fighter, and Parker is number 4 at worst imo.

Nobody is disputing that and Parker deserves his credit over the last year, but he's got a ways to go before boxing media would think about putting him ahead of Wilder.

You just gonna skip over the fact Parker has not only just beaten Zhang, but Wilder himself?

Yeah hard to disagree. The Dillian Whyte loss is probably the worst mark on Parker's record.

Yet he'd probably be in Wilders top 5.

Ortiz is nothing. His best wins going into Wilder were Thompson and Jennings, and the Thompson fight has the PEDs cloud above it. He was a massive hypejob created to give Wilder an opponent without actually giving him and opponent.

Wilder sucks. Parker is pretty good.

Good wins but Wilder is clearly not the same guy anymore

Ortiz in his prime was arguably better than Zhang. There was a good thread about this on here last week

That Whyte fight was honestly a disgrace

The referee just allowed monumental fouls from Whyte - including a head butt that knocked Parker down and stunned him for minutes after.

Should have been an instant rematch - but no!
