Wouldn't quite call it ducking when he's a 23 year old, still lower in the ranks and only 15 fights in.

The fact that Parker could offer a real risk to Wilder doesn't mean he's necessarily ready for it - I think he needs a bit more ring time and better tests before he is going to present his best against someone like Wilder, the plan for a title shot in the next 18-24 months has not been a secret at all so this is clearly sticking to a plan. When Parker looks to fight Wilder, it will be to KTFO - not to be in with a chance.

You'll know when Parker is ready, because Wilder will be ducking.

How can a fighter duck when he is too green to fight someone like Wilder?!?! :patsch:lol:

Even though Parker is still green. I believe there is a very good chance he would lay Wilder out. If Wilder can be hurt with a jab, any one power shot from Joe could hurt him.

As above. When Parker is ready for someone like Wilder (record building wise), you will know. Because it will not be Parker doing the ducking.

From what I read earlier, Wilder is a about to fight old man Frans Botha's left overs. The same old man Frans Botha that Parker almost killed. Judging by your "ducking" logic, does that mean Parker would KTFO Wilder? :nut

Parker would possibly be the Vegas odds on favorite, but he might be better suited to more sharpening of his defense before challenge for a title.
I would pick him to ko wilder however.

Wilder is seemingly in touch with everyone...Fury, Parker, Fujimoto, Briggs, Browne, Arreola...

...sadly for all of them they know they'd have to fight Povetkin in their first defense and that alone is pretty off puting

Here's where the problem lies for Parker, and why he'd be foolish to take this title shot right now.....

    Potvetkin lies in wait.

While Parker is an absolute shoe-in to spark Wilder in a rd or 2, he'd be hard up against it being forced to immediately fight Potvetkin.

Now, he could sidestep Potvetkin, drop the WBC title, and fight Chagaev, and that would lend itself to a Browne fight which would put OZ back on the HW map.

IDK.....maybe Parker should take this fight.

Even if he's got to drop the title immediately, he could be making a great business mistake not taking that title from Wilder if it's being offered to him.:think

Dumb thread, Parker is a young prospect who is about 2 years away from fighting for the title.

Wilder and Povetkin in a raw for a green prospect? They'd be fools to take the fight.

David haye retired about 4 years ago, why do you want wilder to fight a dead duck?
