Very good fight, but again Parker is not fighting top 10 guys like good Champions should be doing. Take the whyte fight who said you would give the fight too if Hughie dropped out.Hes ranked number 6 by the WBO..though in reality should be at 1 and not Hughie who shouldnt even be top 10. Easy fight for Parker. Jennings is a good athlete, but he started boxing too late and has a very limited skill set. He gets overrated because he went the distance with Wlad, who was old and the ref wouldn't tolerate any of Wlad's clinching nonsense.
No. I'd say Jennings and Whyte are at the same level. They both got crushed by their best opponents. When Joshua got his second wind he demolished Whyte. Ortiz did the same with Jennings.
i would rate whyte over Jennings .its not soley on rankings but fights that make sense, whats the point if fighters keep dodging ranked guys though? Champions are suppossed to fight at least top ten guys ...they should be fighting top 5 guys frequently. Rankings dont mean much to me they have Hammer at number 2? But Whyte is ranked in all the ranking systems.
You couldn't be more wrong..Wlad was TOLD to box Jennings and play it safe by J. Banks. Bashir was infuriated by the tactics bc he knew Wlad could end the fight if he just went after him. im pretty sure Wlad against Joshua showed that age excuse was played out...he would STILL be the number 2 Hw today.
So, Parker is meant to be fighting again in December and one of the potential opponents named by Duco was Kyotaro Fujimoto has been listed for a fight with a relative unknown in November so I'd say is likely out of contention, however... Jennings is listed for a card on the 9th December at Madison Square Garden with no opponent named. This would be a huge voluntary defense, and if he wins this then basically f**k the haters. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/529630
Hey what about a rematch with Hughie!! Hughie got a bad deal. We're still kinda left scratching our heads tryin how Hughie some how lost 10 rounds on the judges scorecards when Parker landed about like 8 punches the whole night.
BS. Hughie doesn't even deserve what he got so far, Parker earned a decision - 10 rounds is questionable, but he won, it was poor PPV, it was an ugly fight, and there is no way I could see Duco or Parker wanting to go there again as there is nothing to prove and nothing to gain by going there again. Seeing as it was a legit win there is no way a rematch will be enforced.
An overwhelming majority thought Hughie won the fight by a couple rounds. Hughie's ring generalship shoulda carried him. I don't know how you win rounds by getting outboxed & being controlled from the outside by the jab for 90 % of the time, but land 2 punches and then win a round. This content is protected
No, the majority of people have PARKER winning. The percentage of people having Fury up is WAY higher in UK circles, but around the rest of the world its a more realistic split - in favour of Parker. I would totally agree with you if what you describe is what actually happened, but you're talking about a different fight to the Parker Fury fight - and I'm not sure what fight that is. Anyway, this is COMPLETELY off topic... this thread is about Jennings specifically.
