Martin was looking for $5 million according to Parker which is why the fight wasn't made. Parker simply wasn't a big enough draw and so Martin moved on the Joshua for his big payday.

 

Did you even watch DW vs AJ, he looked epileptic. No way in hell does DW iron out Takam, let alone in 2

 

Dude would get outworked by Takam. Once Takam bangs that body, it's over for Whyte. Why anyone hypes that win is beyond me. Whyte was a complete nobody before and after AJ beat him.

 

Martin approached the Parker team only to give him further negotiating power with his only target...Joshua. Duco would never had been able to outbid what Hearn can put on the table. After Takam gets KO'ed there will be no hiding...without Duco having to fork out mega cash.

 

I have my doubts this will be an easy fight for Parker even though I favor him.

Still, NO ONE can say Parker ducked Martin. Martin is an easier fight than Takam.

Takam is clearly a level above Martin. Martin is a complete nobody. He's a small step-up for AJ from Whyte, but if this wasn't for a title, no one would care.

Parker beating Takam takes him into legit top 10 contender territory.
