When a fighter wins having to get up off the canvas right at the end of the 12th and, therefore, leaves no chance to find out what might have happened next, it's not unreasonable to suggest a rematch is needed. There's little doubt Parker was affected by the butt - which was scored a KD and as a result gave Whyte a point he didn't deserve. Another two reasons to have Parker vs Whyte II. I'm not sure how you can be sure Whyte has a better engine as it was him hanging on at the end, not Parker. There's reason No4. A rematch sounds REASONable to me...
Parker should actually avoid this fight bc Whyte improves all the time....parker does not, he just showed up finally in the whyte fight bc he had too and people who weren't paying attention did not realize how difficult whyte actually is. Another L puts Parker ways off from relevancy so its a dumb move taking 3 L's in a row to only try and even it up. Deserves? The last round says he does. Should he really want a rematch with no wins recently? No bc you don't know how much more difficult whyte is going to get.
Who has Whyte improved against? He got KTFO by Joshua, went life and death with Chisora (should have lost) and then barely made it off the canvas against Parker, who was concussed half the fight due to a headbutt.
I'm a big Parker and Whyte fan also, but you're correct IMO, Parker is far more talented. Whyte seems to have the internal fire and drive however. He just has the "it" factor.
Parker needs to decide if he wants to fight at all, because he seemed distracted and detached in his last two fights. He needs to decide that he should try to WIN a fight, not just show up, survive 12 rounds and get a check.
I remember that conversation, but forgot exactly who I was refering to, but I can guarantee it wasn't Saunders, Saunders doesn't go out of his way to hurt anyone, he way too safety first, he's a self centered egomaniac, but that's about it.
This. Until Parker dumps his team and gets a real coach he'll keep losing. If Whyte would've showed up 10lbs lighter he would've stopped Parker. His lack of power, poor footwork, and timing are always going to let him down against top competition.
This content is protected nice angle here, it was such a fun fight. Respect to Whyte, I don't want to see him fight Chisora. I like Whyte & Chisora a lot don't want to see either lose. Would rather see either fight Big Baby Miller
