A lot of people making excuses for Wilder, some may even be valid to an extent. HOWEVER, Parker fought a great fight, won practically every round, showed he has some dog in him.

Even if Wilder found a right hand to hurt or knock parker down parker would have got up or survived

To rely on one punch against parker or fury is stupid

    This ain't old man Ortiz

He does deserve respect for taking that fight. 8/10 people believed he was going to get knocked out.

This might be his Renaissance. A second reign.

Parker deserves MAD respect. No one thought he could pull this off outside of his hardcore fans, and not even all of those were confident.

He's back in the mix. Couldn't be happier for him.

I concur, Parker beat Wilder and beat him well, we all know that Wilder always had that one right hand that could and had turned fights he was losing into annihilating victories.

Big respect from me to Parker, they had a plan, and he stuck to it and he had the dogfight in him.

Yep l was one of them. I fell for the myth that no matter how out classed Wilder would be he'd eventually land a big right and turn the fight on its head. Problem was Parker wasn't done like we expected after the Joyce fight and Wilder had never successfully pulled of that strategy on a fighter as good as Parker.

If Ortiz had a gas tank and a half decent chin he'd have probably beaten Wilder. We put far too much faith in Wilders power.

I don’t think so, Wilder is shot, he did nothing.

That’s talking after the fight though. Parker showed up to fight and took care of business.

I agree Mr,Pook. Wilder looked out right scrawny, even anemic. He had little muscle tone
In a word, he is "shot". It happens to all fighters sooner or later.

As for Parker, I have nothing but good things to say. Always a class act and a gentleman.
Getting rid of Barry and getting Andy Lee is the best thing that ever happened to Parker.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call Wilder’s power and athleticism a myth. Wilder’s best assets have always been his speed, stamina, explosiveness, power, and athleticism.

Even at 38 years old Wilder still has power, but he doesn’t have the athleticism, stamina, explosivesness, or speed he used to have, so to compensate he needs to be more creative about setting up his knockout punch.

Also, Parker came with a great game plan, since he wasn’t giving Wilder any room to get any leverage with his right and he was making Wilder move all around the ring, which was wearing Wilder out.

Parker has fought nearly everyone in the division and he has a lot of big fight experience. I didn't expect him to win, but I always thought he could.

Parker has fought Ruiz, Joyce, AJ, Wilder, Whyte, Chisora, Takem and the great Francis Botha.

    He deserves nothing but respect.

Parker avoided the right hand, that Wilder rarely threw that's all. Nobody in that ring fought a great fight, it was awful for the lack of action.
I think Parker is right where he was before this fight, he still can't beat Joshua, Fury, Usyk , or Zhang and a couple of others.

Parker deserves credit for exposing Wilder as the utter FRAUD he always was, from day one.

They dug up pathetic stiff after pathetic stiff to fight him for five years, then fought carefully selected washed up former contenders and other mediocre name opponents until Fury - who Wilder's handlers thought was washed up.

Parker - who along with Fury was the only legitimate prime top level fighter Wilder EVER shared a ring with - did boxing a great service in confirming what many of us knew about the Wilder congame all along!
