That's true, however it will be difficult for him to be objective this time seeing that Team Parker objected to him personally (they are fine with McDonnell). Either he will be rooting for Fury and giving him the close rounds, or he will try to compensate for that which could lead to quite random scoring.

It's close to 50/50 with the bookmakers, eye-test wise I don't see that Parker ought to smash Fury either.

Fair point about O'Connor. After Byrds criticism most judges should be wary about favoritism.

Bookmakers may have it 50/50 probably because they fear the judging :meparto:

H.Fury has shown nothing to suggest he deserves a world title shot. Parker should handle him and have him out by the later rounds imo.

Hope you're right. Still, in NZ the odds were not much different:

    Parker 4/6
    Fury 6/4

That is some close odds. People have obviously been laying quite a bit money on Fury from the outset... probably believe the hype that he is even better than Tyson...

I hope I'm right... it's probably what I'm going for in the WBK... going to try and find some recent footage on Hughie, see how he looks.

Fury just needs to be standing at the end of 12 and we will have "a new.......". Unbelievably crooked.

No, probably just believing he might be as good as fat boy Andy Ruiz Jr.

Parker simply hasn't looked good lately.

I want a be a fly on the wall in some of the meetings they have from the moment Hughie first got injured, up till changing the country for the fight. I'm all for challengers going over to the champions backyard, and taking it home in front of a booing crowd. Hopefully making the booing crowd applaud you after the fight. I understand they want to break the UK market to set-up a fight with AJ down the line. Simply beating Hughie in NZ would have done that.
I've got no sympathy for whoever said, "yeah, its ok to do it in the UK" were they expecting to fetch neutral officials from all over the world because the WBO is the one who decides the judges, and referees.

The BBBC and the WBO have searched the length and breadth of New Zealand but haven't been able to find a New Zealand boxing judge.

What is Kiwi_in_America doing on the weekend?

O'Connor is equally useless regardless of what task he does.

So knowing Fury's only chance is a points win they move Tel to a judge ? Look like they've been taking fixit lessons from DLH.

Hope Parker gets the ko he needs.
